Festive SOTD and appropriate to the time of year and day, as today is the Winter Solstice, significant to humans since prehistory. The celestial Chorus Stellarum in very merry colors.

This looks absolutely stunning on your pale pink top and your brooch is perfect @Karenska. I was so hoping this beauty would make an appearance this week, so thank you!
Two festive sotd looks for today’s birthday adventures (I’m feeling a bit too precious about L’Intrus to wear it for vintage store shopping ;))

Such interesting photos @Teaforparrots! The shopping expedition looks very red! Your L'Intrus is as lovely as ever and your tree has...bacon and egg ornaments on it so there's that too... (but seriously-- happy birthday, you look wonderful in both your scarves!).
Lovely match to your earrings. Blue scarves always look so good with your hair as well.
Feeling festive in this vivid red colorway of Maitres de la Foret.

This is the perfect holiday cw of this beautiful design @MAGJES (and thank you for your nice comment!).
Today’s festive SOTD with a new Christmas tree pin from a darling friend!

You look ready for the holidays @Pirula-- what a sweet gift from your friend...
I know these aren’t traditional holiday colors but wearing it this week made me feel festive with these vibrant hues and the thrill of this ntm ELEK. View attachment 5675480
Ok, so clearly you have found the key to a secret room where you turn a faucet and grails come gushing out! Another fabulous beauty and it looks stunning on you @CedarWaxWing. I think a CSGM in this design is worthy of any holiday any time ever! Congratulations!
Again with Peuple du Vent for meetings.

Just an absolutely beautiful mousseline and beautifully styled @Awillow!
Concours d'Etriers for my errand day.

I am your sister on this scarf-- you have the perfect one for holiday errands @mktlim ...
Hello fellow scarf fans. Time stopped last week when Mt BCat got sick and I went in to Def Con 300 in sanitization to no avail. Yes, I am writing you from inside Mr BCat's and my very own Covid Ward bubble  in case you had wondered about the sudden drop off a cliff over the weekend.

Today was the first day I put some silk on in several days. Sorry no makeup at all. And at least I am sporting a sweater on top (but jammies still on bottom, I assure you...) Small amount of activity interspersed with lots of naps, lots of coughing and lots of hot tea (and oatmeal...)

Brazil giant DD.

Oh @bunnycat I am so sorry to hear you have been in the Covid Ward Bubble. We went through that here and it is difficult. Glad to see you feeling up to wearing silks again and hope you are fully recovered soon (and Mr. BCat too!). Tea and oatmeal sounds just about right...and a beautiful scarf like this one helps too.
Just stopping in to say how much I am enjoying the festive scarves this week, and the luscious purples of last week. lovely scarves, and sentiments, all.

I succumbed to the dreaded C-19 at the beginning of last week and have been laid low since. Feeling a little better today, but definitely not in any fit state to share photos! I did managed to give myself a festive manicure at the weekend, a la @Coco2606; no peppermint candy stripes, but a similar red base with a white and silver sparkle, like crushed candies.

Just to keep things on theme, SOTD is a new to me charme d’Orphee in the marine/crème. I have been tempted by @LKBNOLA’s stormy grey one, but found a really good deal on mine on the secondary market, and succumbed to that too ;)

festive nails, below. Scarf will have to follow when I'm feeling less yucky. Stay warm, and well, everyone!

I am so sorry @Lellabelle and wish you a speedy recovery. Cannot wait to see your beautiful Orphee-- Congratulations! Maybe just looking at it and plotting one of your fabulous stylings will make you feel better. Your nails are very impressive and cheerful! I could not do such a great job even if I were at the peak of health! Please get well soon, we miss you around here...
SOTD, happy winter solstice, days will be getting longer and I can’t wait. I made it to both sunrise and sunset today and felt La Danse du Cosmos was most appropriate merely based on the name.

Amen @Iflola to longer days! Another wonderful scarf on site with your trademark happy smile. And what a nice choice of design to mark the solstice...

Thank you, Maedi. It was a festive day to be out in our nicest outdoor mall and meeting someone very special. I tutor ESL (now more properly called EOL) and yesterday I had coffee with my lovely learner. Due to covid and family commitments, Zoom has been a great meeting tool for us, but yesterday we met for the first time.

Posting another blue for the fourth night of Chanukah! I fell in love with this design when I first joined TPF and saw this scarf on @Langsam. I have worn it (not exclusively by any means) each year since for the holiday. Love its beautiful shimmery blue and silver vibe--traditional colors for the holiday. Some fun lucite earrings and my beloved silver tassel by local NOLA jeweler Mignon Faget...

Thank you, Lkb. It’s festive green and gorgeous rose colors make it a holiday scarf, for sure.

Yes, to confirm, it’s actual stitching, it has an interesting texture but still very drapey rather than stiff like an eye liner scarf.
Thank you, Paula, it’s really lovely. Must research “eyeliner” scarves. I may have one in Dans L’Atelier Robert Dallet, in gingham and stripes, but I thought that was called a finesse. Must find out more……

I was lucky that someone who attended the Madison Store opening did not want their special scarf and it made its way to me! It isn't technically a holiday scarf but it reminds me of all those winter cab rides in NYC along the avenues with their bright lights and decorations. If you could even hail a cab, that is! Never easy and especially not at Christmastime. But that's ok. I have a yellow cab on my scarf to take me anywhere I please...
