Your points are very valid. I often do not think of all possibilities. I am not capable of pattern mixing. I can but I do not look good.I think a lot of it depends on your comfort level with a lot of bold color in one outfit! I see people who will rock a lot of color, but I don't know that I feel like *I* can pull it off! It's similar to pattern mixing, I'm always nervous about it, but other people look fab in their printed blouses + busy scarves.

Ooh, this is pretty! I love the idea of a losange; whenever I get to go into a boutique again (which will probably be a while, between the 4-5 hr drive and pandemic concerns) I really want to play with some!

Archive photo - L’Hiver en Poste. I love the matte blanc, a technique I don’t know too much about except that it gives texture and dimension to the snow, in this and other winter-themed Hermès scarves.
