And scarf mail!!! Which is also on theme w it’s black border. I am experimenting with it to see if I’ll keep it or not Based on how often I think I’ll wear it. My first moussie and my first changeant w green and purple. It is gorgeous!!! N I’m twins w a couple scarifies on here I know

I’ve seen this Ballade de Heian pop up before and have been so tempted! I also love blacks and brights so it has everything for me! And, the changeant is a dream! Congrats!

Hi Julide. At first glance they might seem quite similar. But the Femme has more variation with blues and greens and a touch of taupe. The MP leans more eggplant with a similar taupe (femme leans a bit more brownand MP a bit more gray) and a few highlights of camel on the phoenix. Not at all dark (eh, I guess there's some black in the border), but it's been sitting on my shelf for two weeks just waiting to play, and I didn't want to wait any longer!

Super excited to add this one to my ever growing 2017 collection. I'd had this one on my ebay watchlist since I first started collecting last summer, and when it went on sale I pulled the trigger.
I really liked the black background reissue of this design from last season, but I don't think a 140 silk would get much play in my collection. I also considered adding one of this season's Marche du Zambeze cws (that yellow that @Living.la.vida.fifi has is a stunner!), but since both of these Ardmore designs have borders that read similarly to me (floral with a sort of lacy overlay), I think I'll just stick with this one. Obviously the centers of the two designs are totally different, but I usually knot my scarves in such a way that the borders/corners are highlighted most. Maybe if someone has both and wants to convince me otherwise with some modshots I would change my mind

Introducing my red and black Mythiques Phoenix 70. It showed up a while back on h.com and disappeared just as fast. I decided I should have one of this popular design in my collection. Sweet that it also has the Quadrige jacquard.

Happy Friday everyone!! Thanks for the likes and loves and the many many laughs. You all make a long work week and below freezing temperatures so enjoyable with your banter, smiles, and scarf art. Last week when I went off in search of @Pirula ’s elek I said I’d post a pic of it the second it arrived. Little did I know it would arrive on my video free Friday and I wouldn’t be suited and booted for video calls as I usually am. Alas, here it is Golden Girls tee shirt and all. My mom (rest her soul) thought it was a total lark to buy me this one vacation because she often labeled my 2 best girl friends and me as the Golden girls because we had “old lady” tendencies according to her, and would often either be sitting at home on a Friday night when she at our age would be at the disco till dawn, or bickering about something inconsequential. @Hermes Nuttynut thank you for identifying the colorway for me!

Ah no, typical tourist trade from Ankor Wat, Cambodia. This belonged to the in-laws who re-homed it to me when I was studying Asian art & architecture. In short they are female heavenly beings carved in many of the temples or other Bhudist/Hindu sacred sites in SE Asia with the most famous examples from the Angkor Wat temple complex.
