Dear Croisette7, I don't want to be intrusive, I love this design so much and love very soft pastels so much (favorably corail/abricot, pink is rather difficult for me, though I couldn*t resist buying CW 08 and CW 16 (though yellow is rather difficult on me too...) and I can't find this scarf in any boutique. I also don't want to have it ordered from Paris if I'm not sure. Here, the colours might still be a little bit too bold (colourful) for me and my wardrobe. That's why I would so like to ask you please to photograph the scarf again simply bifold - ideally with the other corners in each case, if you don't mind. In any case, thank you very much for sharing these beautiful photos and have fun wearing it.
I hope it helps:

I’m sure I was thinking of many old tales of unrequited or disappointed love. Giselle, Wuthering Heights, Tess. Ballads, yes! When I was writing it, the Child ballad Barbara Allen was running through my head. Adding in a silky rendering of poor Gabriel’s watery grave.

how i like this colour combination: silver blue, orange and light beige.
how I tied my Tea Time carré.
have to try with this scarf ring, thanks,

And now for the unimaginative and, I fear, entirely predictable introduction of C'est la Fete this Hallow's Eve.

sublime and beautiful

Thank you so so much for taking your time - it really helps a lot.
For me, you just wear and present all colours and designs so beautifully. That is sooo dangerous for me, because only certain colours and designs suit me and looking at you and the other ladies triggers a buying frenzy in me far too often, only to find that the scarves don't look so nice on me and are then admired in their boxes at best.

Many thanks to @Cookiefiend for hosting last week's Pink and Orange Week. Thank you @Karenska for such a beautiful introduction to Ghost Stories Week illustrated with stunning scarves.

My scarves this week will be illustrating an old cowboy ghost story originally written as a song by Stan Jones in the late 1940s and has been recorded by many musicians. However, my favorite version is sung by the Man in Black himself, Johnny Cash. Ghost Riders in the Sky tells the story of an old cowboy who goes out for a ride and sees the ghosts of cowboys past chasing the devil's herd of steers for the rest of eternity. He is warned that this is his fate unless he changes his ways. A scary thought indeed.

Below are the lyrics to the song.

Ghost Riders in the Sky

An old cowboy went riding out one dark and windy day
Upon a ridge he rested as he went along his way
When all at once a mighty herd of red-eyed cows he saw
A-plowing through the ragged sky
And up a cloudy draw

Their brands were still on fire and their hooves were made of steel
Their horns were black and shiny, their hot breath he could feel
A bolt of fear went through him as they thundered through the sky
For he saw the riders coming hard
Heard their mournful cries

Yippie-yi-o (yippie-yi-o)
Yippie-yi-yay (yippie-yi-yay)
Ghost riders in the sky

Their faces gaunt
Their eyes were blurred, their shirts all soaked with sweat
He's riding hard to catch that herd but he ain't caught 'em yet
'Cause they've got to ride forever on that range up in the sky
On horses snorting fire
As they ride on hear their cries

As the riders loped on by him he heard one call his name
'If you want to save your soul from hell a-riding on our range
Then cowboy change your ways today or with us you will ride'
Trying to catch the devil's herd
Across these endless skies

Yippie-yi-o (yippie-yi-o)
Yippie-yi-yay (yippie-yi-yay)
Ghost riders in the sky
Ghost riders in the sky
Ghost riders in the sky

My first scarf of Ghost Week sets the scene with cowboys riding and chasing a herd of mustangs. It is also my transition scarf from Orange Week, and is especially appropriate for Halloween. Introducing my Hermes box orange Dallas 2004 special edition of Les Mustangs.

So creative @Redbirdhermes -- I love this ballad and the Johnny Cash version. Can't wait to see where you go with this...
Excellent ghost stories @Karenska and @Redbirdhermes - and lovely illustrative scarves!

like @Awillow my first thought went to C’est la Fete

I love these 70s of yours @Snausages -- and your tie with the ring and the top with the mini polka dots is "mwah"!
Love this cw, too! Is the hem a light pink, or white?

Yesterday's actual SotD--an off topic and new-to-me Mountain Zebra. Sort of a multiple--I'd previously tried a preloved cw 11 (the green/brown/orangey cw), but returned it as the condition wasn't as described. I'd still love to track another down, but this neutral cw is pretty versatile in the meantime.
This is a very elegant cw-- congratulations on your find @labelo and good luck finding the harvest green one. Somany beautiful colors of this design...
Wait…. You have a ghost in your home?!?
Awwww - the cutest Trick-or-Treaters ever!! Love this on stripes!
Thank you so much! And @Cookiefiend and @turfnsurf -- I will tell the sad tale of our ghost but I have my thinking cap on to figure out a scarf to illustrate the tale...
The leopards stalk
Their eyes on the flock
The woman
With Ruby lips and carnelian drops
Her eyes on the stock
Together they catch their prey

Happy Halloween!
What a fabulous look-- I love the black JLR and you have styled it perfectly. your top is even kind of beautifully spooky! Love the poem, too @Cookiefiend!
SOTD, La Source du Pegase in truly Halloween colors :yahoo:. The pin is a gift from my dear friend. It works with the scarf pretty well, I think!

Can't "unsee" the candy corn on this really fun carre @Karenska!
Happy Halloween! A few years ago when the 70cm version of C’est le Fete came out, I couldn’t bring myself to buy it no matter how intricate the design was. The skeleton just plain scared the heck out of me but the rest of the scarf was so cool. Fast forward several years later, the double silk came out and by then I was entranced with the colors, details and the way it ties as a 90. Finally I convinced myself that you don’t see the silly skeleton anyway when tied. So here it is my one and only ClF.. And I do love the artistic work of this designer, Daiske Nomura. I think there is a thread in Clubhouse about the design, symbolisms and meaning. Suffice to say, I will likely not buy another skeleton silk (sorry McQueen fans). I love this with the orange sweater and lipstick @lanit-- perfect look!
When I first decided to go blonde, I of course forged ahead without any real research and the research only took place as each stage failed to give me the desired results, needless to say the trials and errors included some kitchen remedies including spending 4 hours with ketchup in my hair to counteract the green tones…
Yikes! [insert tomato emoji]
Mine is a horror story of a day wasted on Instagram, I had the idea for a reel with C’est la Fete but my ideas are too advanced for an amateur videographer like me and certainly IG’s current capabilities, and after many hours of shooting and reshooting and loosing work on IG…I managed to get out a reel with a few hours left in the day. Here are some stills from the reel set to Billie Eilish’s ‘ all the good girls go to hell’ (many filters were used)

You are so creative and witty @Iflola! Always smile when your name pops up...
Wow-- it is beautiful seeing them all together @Croisette7! Love your two new cws!

Today is All Saints Day and, while not exactly ghostly, the architectural ornamented ceilings of cathedrals, temples, synagogues and other magnificent houses of worship were specifically designed to uplift the spirit and transport the faithful beyond the quotidian into a vast celestial infinitude. When I was an art history student in Europe, we loved to lie flat on our backs staring up and let ourselves experience that cosmic vertigo. So here to honor the saints and the ceilings is Les Domes Celestes. I was very intrigued to learn that many of the domes Faivre rendered are actual places-- including several I have been to in France and Italy and most recently, the Great Synagogue in Budapest.

A compliment on my off the cuff, flying by the seat of my pants (or pen as the case may be) 'poems', is high praise from you! :hugs:

I had no idea some of these were based on real domes in cathedrals, temples, and synagogues! How interesting!
It's a beautiful scarf, made even more lovely by this knowledge!

Frightfully entertaining!
(tho’ technicolor locks are pretty commonplace these days; you probably looked super cute with light blue tresses) ;)

Thank you turf! (It definitely looked like a splotchy accident....and not a planned bi-color hair event... )

Beautiful story with a beautiful scarf to illustrate!

I'm afraid I'm all storied out, and back to straight forward... But I will share some pics from last night from Haunted House of Bunnycat...

Usually MrBC is lecturing or grading tests or something equally saintly, but since the 31st fell on a Sunday, I wrangled myself a helper for the evening.

Both of us donned spiders on our necks to up the "scary" factor. He sported a witchy hat and suffered a big furry tarantula tied around the neck, while I opted for the silk version with Flamboyant Web and a Sugar Skulll mask. This one now has Bunny's name on the forehead, since she left us last Halloween.
