Actual SOTD - Fêtes Vénitiennes with… pink! And a bit of brownish orange showing. Bonus! Or lagniappe as @LKBNOLA would say. For @Redbirdhermes and others, the necklace is a strand of powder pink freshwater pearls with a hammered ss pendant with toggle fastener (I think it’s called a toggle…) by Theresa Girzone, Guilderland, NY.

And on a more serious note - October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We all know someone who has been affected by breast cancer, or even one of us has herself dealt with this. Wearing pink this month is to highlight the importance of awareness, education and research for this deadly disease.

Big or small, Let’s save them all!

I love it when you bust out your scarves that I do not see very often modeled. The saumer I think it is, is so cool! Love the artistry. And the sweet moussie Rosie. And your red Vinci is such a great color.

Aw, thnx- the oldies are so appealing to me. That pic of Vinci doesn’t capture its most outrageous technicolor coral pink color.

I hope this post to my longtime friends on here doesn’t break any rules. I feel that an explanation is in order. I believe that I posted something about my awful situation this past summer. To summarize: Because of a lesion at T10 compressing his spinal cord, my husband became a complete paraplegic in June. Several days later he had back surgery. From his admission to the VA hospital June 17 until discharge on September 7, he worked hard to improve. Discharge diagnosis was incomplete paraplegia. And he was pretty darn helpless even then!

Fast forward to now. He still needs his power wheelchair most of the time. But....he can walk a few steps, use his bathroom (no more potty chair - YAY!), get down on the floor to crawl around and return to wheelchair, plus he can drive! He has astonished and pleased all of his physical therapists. He has awed me, for sure!

So that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

Do good to hear from you, I was thinking about the two of you at least once a week but never managed to write a PM.
Glad to hear there's progress, hope there will be more.
I hope you still have your radiant smile, stay strong!
