How wonderful to have Les Normands to remember the Bayeux tapestry.I've got the one in a cream and very pale pink and blue, not a favourite CW, but bought as a souvenir of my visit to Bayeux to see the tapestry - a forty year long dream come true![]()
When our children were small we toured Germany, Denmark, and Sweden by auto. One of the highlights of that summer was our visit to the Viking Ship Museum in Roskilde, Denmark. In addition to the real ships, they had built replica Viking ships that tourists could buy tickets for and row together out on the bay. So, I can say that I have rowed a real Viking ship.
