Great intro Bunnycat. Love the top you're wearing with your divine Bains d'H.

Thank you orchard! (Constellations, I think it is called. )

Happy Sunday, dear Scarfies! And, a Happy Father’s Day to all the dads and husbands out there!
C’est la Fête is my all-time favorite scarf from the men’s collection. And, it features a dapper skeleton at its center

And, this CW of L’Arbre du Vent CSGM has a menswear feel to me. At first I thought I was looking at a cashmere from the men’s department

Perfect choices for this week! I wouldn't have thought of Brandebourgs- but absolutely great for the week.

Well I have exactly 2 scarves from the men’s collection

Oh yes, I know what you mean - colours can make a scarf for men.

Congratulations, adiomaxo, a beautiful find!

Trying madly to catch up with the end of Lucky 13 week before turning to the new theme.! I hope everyone had a lovely weekend.
A group of Zebras is called a “dazzle.”
How fitting as MT is one of my top favorites so…..here’s a few to dazzle.

Oh, @MAGJES your dazzle of zebras is dazzling me into wanting a red or yellow one! Twins on the black/brown. Also, your mod shots are *mwah*!
Fave scarf #12 is a representative of a weakness I have. When in doubt about which cw to select for any design, I gravitate to blue+red. I have a rather large number of blue+red scarves, and they go with most of my office wear since the dress code in my company is very casual. The rep for this cw is Corinthe because it took me a long time to find this design, including one missing in the post incident.
View attachment 5115460
I started my selection of 13 with a Mythiques Phoenix in yellow and purple and will end with a phoenix too. The yellow+purple cw was the last 90cm MP I bought from the resale market because I thought the colours would clash horribly. I was wrong and it has since become a go-to scarf for me.
#13 is of course the anthracite cw, my travel stalwart, as well as a very educational scarf colourwise for me. I had put it in the category of black/white till I actually got my hands on one and saw for myself the subtle range of the not-black/not-white palette.
View attachment 5115459
For comparison, here are the 70cm and the pareo which are mainly black/white/grey. Not the same :amuse:

View attachment 5115475
@xincinsin It is one of my HGs to obtain an MP 90. Your collection is breathtaking and that anthracite is awe inspiring.
For Xincinsin, Kyoto Marble MT in the afternoon light outdoors.

It is very beautiful, and I am very lucky.
(I may have said to my lovely SA that I was prepared to crawl over broken glass for it. And...err...I also got the horsey one that came out at the same time (but missed out on the original Balade). They had the Constance in this silk as a display only item in the window at my store recently...I took a long, loving look at it.)
Gorgeous! Thank you for the mod shot in afternoon light. It fairly ripples with color, @Hat Trick.
I am very behind. I’ll list the rest. My fav and most used cgsm Jardin de Soie ( and oddly I say this with two of my grail Parures de Samourais , n Ive had 4 )
View attachment 5115509One of my most used 90’s. I guess because of the black and highlight red color going with so much. Regarde Paris.
View attachment 5115510

Flowers category has a tie. ( tho I could have a tie for each season of flower scarves lol) My most used summer scarf and most used flower scarf. Put it on whenever I wear white and it’s not too hot for a scarf. Giverny
View attachment 5115512
My most OMG it’s too beautiful to wear even. L’ombre des pivoines
View attachment 5115514
My fav gavroche. La Danse. I paid over retail I loved it so. Reminds me so much of museum sculptures and paintings of Degas.
View attachment 5115518
Scarves I must love the most because I have multiple colorways And almost treat them with kid gloves. Some still tags attached. Parures de Samourais ( 3 90’s, 2 Cgsm) Into the Canadian Wild ( 4) and Les Artisans ( 3 Thinking of getting 4th). My fav colorways of each.

@Nomad-- beautiful selections! I love the Danse gavroche in that cw-- perfection. And the others are real beauties.
So many beauties, @hotgalaxy!

These are gorgeous! Love the black one with that pale peach blouse!

As a felow blue scarf lover and a recent collector myself, I loved all your selections! Sisters with you on many of these @hotgalaxy.
I really enjoy this thread and wish I could contribute more often. Here is my SOTD, Chiffres et Emblèmes from my husband’s great-mother.

What a stunning photo and what a lovely heirloom you have, @QueenieQ!
Some of you asked for pictures of the Marseille edition of Le voyage de Pytheas. It was released to commemorate Marseille as European capital of culture in 2013. Will model it sometime in the next few weeks.

What a beauty, @Agrume!
Today I’m wearing my newest Zebra Pegasus, the one I wanted from the very first: View attachment 5115674
This is fantastic-- a beautiful cw and it looks great on you, @momasaurus.

A bit late for the baker's dozen. Here are the scarves I most love. I wear some of them a lot, as their condition shows. As I'm not a seasoned collector, there aren't many left in my drawers, but I hope they won't take offence !
These are beautiful, @Marie-the-Mary. I love your CSGM's-- may be purchasing my first one this A/W season and will definitely look to see what you pick!

I just picked up my new Maxi-Twilly Slim today! It’s the Grand Prix du Fauberg pattern in the Vieux Rose/Bordeaux colorway. It’ll go with both my pink Toolbox 20 as a strap and will also pair well with my Casa Sac (you can see it here next to my bracelet that matches the Casa Sac, which I won’t use it as a strap with lol).

Good morning Scarflandia! I hope you enjoyed choosing your 13 (designs? scarves? designers? ) However you managed it, it was a fun week. Now it is time to make a shift to the new theme!

20 Jun 2021 Borrowed from the Boys: Men’s scarves, men on scarves and cws mostly associated with men

If you needed another opportunity to bend your scarf drawer around a theme, this week will give you some fun options for pulling more favorites along whether they are in more masculine color schemes, feature a fabulous dude like Pani la Shar, or are directly from the men's department.

I'll start this Father's Day off with a few favorite scarves from the men's collections that I have (and then I'll be phoning my own Dad to wish him a very happy day  ).

I love the cotton and cotton/silk formats so much, and wish they would allocate some full designs to this fiber combo, but until then, there's always shopping in the guy's domain for me.

One of the last ones I bought in the men's section was Vincent Leroy's Reve du Mechanique Elementaire a couple of years ago in a deep marine blue with white contrast hem. The cotton has become so very soft in the last couple of years. It's a real pleasure to wear.

View attachment 5115687

And there is always Ugo Gattoni! When I bought this Bains d'H as a surprise find at a boutique in 2017, I never imagined it would still look brand new after several years of wear!

View attachment 5115688

So haul out you men's section scarves! Or if you don't have any, then maybe some color schemes that work for either gender, or something else that celebrates "masculine" this week? Let your imagination go and run with it!
For anyone who knows some of the figures on Bain d'Hermes, the pairing with that blouse is fantastic.
Great intro!

So I have posted eight must-have scarves. Here are five others.
Coup de Fouet Au Bloc. This is my sweetest 140 and I just adore it with the rose, burgundies, blues and grays, and the little border flowers. And of course, the four horseheads. It’s an exceptionally comfortable scarf and I always enjoy wearing it.View attachment 5114919
I have a few Ledouxs and I love them all but my very favorite is L’Hiver, on which I have gushed here on many occasions. The composition and artistry is so beautiful and the border is just gorgeous.
View attachment 5114922
I could not get by without a truly personal grail for me and another equally favorite Ledoux, La Comedie Italienne. All those delightful Commedia dell’Arte characters!
View attachment 5114929
No Must-Have 13 list could not be complete without a Christine Henry! I have a few, but my dearest must be either Axis Mundi and Rives Fertiles. View attachment 5114932View attachment 5114933Left out is Animapolis, Les Mustangs, Index Palmarum, Les Ballets Russes, and others. If I were to review my collex in a month, I wonder which I’d select....

It’s been a fun week with you all!
Your selections are all TDF and I know some of the ones you left out are among my favorites in your collection @Karenska! I believe if we repeated this week, everyone's lists would look slightly different and equally beautiful! I know mine would.

So… I can’t do it.
My Thirteenth Choice is a format. It is nearest and dearest to my heart, and is one I’d grab if the house was on fire.
Mousseline.
