Oh how fun that you posted Marimekko! I'll see if I can find my Marimekko items tomorrow and snap a picture too! They bring me so much joy! (Both because of the happy colors and because I got them from my dear mother and my dear grandmother, who are from Finland, and they remind me of them!)

Also some others Scandinavian brands to keep an eye out for, stylish Georg Jensen from Denmark, they have really nice wallets etc. for men (apart from their jewellery, home decoration pieces, table ware, etc.), if they have not stopped selling those series? I am not sure. And beautiful Skultuna from Sweden and Pentik from Finland, also very lovely, but if I recall correctly the two latter ones doesn't carry any bags nor leather accessories or so. I mostly check these brands for home decor or table ware. Although I recently gave my boyfriend a "travel wallet" from Georg Jensen but I cannot find it on their website right now. And also, check out Svenskt Tenn! They have bags etc. too, but I like them for (some of) their interesting home decor and table ware. A lot of Swedes adore their fabrics though (those are not really my style although I have some kitchen items made of them). Just like many Finns love Marimekkos fabrics.

Maybe we were supposed to stick to bag brands in this thread, if so, excuse me, I got carried away!

I've been thinking of starting a thread where we can pretend to show off our bags but just happen to sneak in other things like furniture, lamps, pretty throws, pepper shakers, car keys :P or whatever whatever items we like and love at the moment. Maybe this could be the Scandi version of such a thread? :graucho: Kidding, but there's so much wonderful design coming out of Scandinavia, old and new, I'm sure we could keep a thread like that going for a long time. Maybe better at least pretend to make it about bags

Oh and one brand that is worth to be mentioned is Swedish Fjällräven! Especially their world famous backpack called Kånken! Popular among Asians as well as Americans!

Not my personal taste but who am I to argue with like 45% of the population? 80% if you are visiting my university.

Personally, can't stand it  but Fjallraven make a lot of other good hiking stuff.

Fun thread!
I have a Marlene Birger Wallikan weekendbag as well, I think it’s super cute[emoji4]

I’d also like to mention Norwegian brands Holzweiler (behind the clothing hanger sweatshirts seen on Gigi Hadid and super warm scarves) and accessories brand Cala&Jade. Priced like contemporary designers, good quality stuff[emoji106] IMG_0291.jpg

I'm totally on board with this idea! NO KIDDING! :D
And I am sure some of the Americans, Asians, Africans, Southern europeans and Australians, etc etc, could think such a thread would be interesting too! There are some threads about home decor, tableware, etc, on this forum, so I don't think that would be "of topic" at all! Just find the right section and make a post, it would be so much fun! :)

The search for a perfect travel backpack is over! Meet Sandqvist Vilda in beige cotton and navy leather! It fits an 11 iPad Pro in a slim case (see behind me :P) which was my main requirement besides cute design  It’s actually very hard to find bag reviews mentioning iPad Pro, it’s always minis!

Hi! I was looking at a bag from the Swedish brand ATP atelier and came to think of this thread! Does any one of you own any leather bags from them? Perhaps even the Ercolano style? If so, how do they hold up?

I ordered a mini sized straw bag from them this summer, it was cute but did not suit me. Moreover the biggest concern was that the straw material was quite rough and I realized that it could easily get cought in all sorts of fabrics so I sent it back. I, however, thought I might give their leather styles a chance this time. Hence, I’d love to hear from anyone who either owns one, decided against buying one, or who has been looking at them or contemplating on buying one. While the price tag is not too hefty I still wonder whether this bag is worth the money or if I should put the money towards something else instead? I have, however, struggeled with finding designs that speak to me lately, so not only do I now know what I would want instead, I am also concerned that it is my desperation to find a bag that I really love that makes me consider this bag, as I do remember thinking that ATP is not really my style when they first rised to popularity a hundred years ago? So annoying, haha. I don’t know what to think but I do know I need a small to medium sized black handbag, as I don’t have one in my collection and it is sort of a missing piece in my wardrobe, I, however, don’t want to buy for the same of buying and I’d rather wait for the right piece than to rush it. But I sort of like this style? At least in pictures. It is more on the baguette bag side though and I wonder whether it will ”stand the test of time”, or if it will feel very dated as soon as the baguette trend dies again. I do aim for longevity so I’d rather go for classic styles than contemporary. Do you find this style more trendy or traditional?

What do you think?

And oh, I came to think of the Toteme bags as well, what do you think of them? I’ll insert a picture of one the t-lock styles in here as well. Which one do you think looks better? Does anyone own a bag from Toteme?

The top one is the ATP Ercolano, the bottom one is the Toteme T-lock clutch.
