Hello all, as I spend lots of time here with the lovely folks in the LV forum, I wanted to share the experience I had with Samorga recently for my small Chanel Boy bag. I know it’s not LV, but wanted to alert folks that I had a problem with them as many of you use Samorga too. I have a few Samorga inserts for my canvas speedy 20 and another a few other LV bags and they were fine.

I got a lovely small boy in black Chevron calfskin last month. My usual was to order a Samorga insert to protect the inside of my bags, don’t like that it takes almost a month to get it but that’s just the way it is with them. Unfortunately what they sent me fits inside my wallet on chain, and it’s tiny and does not protect the Boy as it’s way too narrow. I just wanted to let people know that they were awful after the fact, I was even willing to keep the one they sent me to put in my wallet on chain and buy a second one correctly sized for the Boy. They asked me four times to measure the inside of my bag over the course of a week, even though I measured it inside the first time and included the photographs. They asked me multiple times for more measurements, more pics, to email back more measurements and more pics. After they essentially accused me of lying that I knew it was the wrong size for my bag, I sent them a note and said “I’m sorry, you never once apologized for your mistake, you never offered to make it right, and I don’t work for Samorga. I ordered one from another company and no need to respond”. They would never provide me measurements for the 2nd insert I might have purchased if I knew it was correctly sized. I know they don’t post measurements online which is annoying because if I’d known what the measurements were I would not have purchased it. Even though I have several Samorga inserts it was so annoying and so time consuming for a $30 item, I will never purchase from them again. I just wanted to let you all know that if you were ordering a small bag insert it may well be incorrectly sized. I will include some photos below.

On a happier note however, Zoomoni emailed me when I was in the middle of the mess with Samorga, and said they now make 1.2 mm felt inserts - the thickness I prefer for small bags. I ordered one after Samorga dropped the ball, same price but shipping $10 less and it arrived in a little over a week instead of the month Samorga takes to the US. I even asked them to leave out the inside pockets as I don’t need them in a small Boy. It arrived in perfect condition in a small box, without pockets and with a lovely thank you note and I could not be happier with it. It fits perfectly and was a totally frictionless process! I will work with them only for any felt inserts for good, whichever brand bag I want to protect. Pics below.

I love being able to write excellent reviews and often do, but wanted to let folks know about a less than satisfactory experience as well. Now with my Zoomoni insert inside, I can use my Boy worry free!! As many of you do, I prefer inserts for my LV and CHANEL and H - it’s a small price to protect the insides of our bags!!

Thanks for sharing your experience @DrTr ! I've never jumped the gun ordering an insert from Samorga...their pricing and shipping is pretty crazy for a $1.00 felt I can get at Fabricland...especially to Canada. I'm glad to hear you had a great experience with Zoomoni.

I find the inserts for me take up too much real estate so I just literally cut a piece of felt and place it on the bottom of my bags since it's easiest. I like the slouchy look anyhow ;)

Enjoy your new Boy beauty!

Sorry to hear abt your experience @DrTr but thanks for sharing it with us. I’m surprised that they would treat you like that especially since they can see your purchasing history and you are a return customer. And customers are important especially returning customers because they want to purchase again from your business and that is a compliment. I can feel your frustration considering they are more on the pricey side with their inserts, and also their shipment time is super long and expensive too.

Glad zoomoni came thru for you and now has 1.2 mm inserts. It worked out for the best in the end. I’ve been considering buying some samorga inserts too but the high costs and shipment time has been putting me off. I will check out zoomoni now. Thanks for sharing. And your new insert fits perfectly and your Chanel bag is stunning! Enjoy!

Thanks, it’s so much fun to carry. I prefer shape to my bags and don’t want slouchy droopy bags so I do an insert in most of mine, though not the keepall XS. I figure if I’ve dropped some thousands on a bag I’m not going to stick at $30 plus shipping :P We have funny logic when it comes to bags sometime don’t we! With the Boy, it’s structured enough so the 1.2 mm felt does a great job of just protecting the interior, and with small bags I ask the pockets be left out when I order and voila, no real estate gone and happy fuschia pop when I get inside. Good on you for doing your own process.

I’m just glad another company now offers the 1.2 mm as the 2 mm is quite thick especially with pockets.

Thanks Bumbles as always. I know - repeat customers are the lifeblood of any business. I forget the exact number but it used to be the cost of getting a new customer to replace one that left was exponentially huge compared to doing the work to keep the customers you have. Zoomoni did a beautiful job, and the 1-6 day shipping was $10 US.

I have an organizer for most all my bags, especially large ones like the NF. Big bags are much more functional for me if I can use an organizer with multiple pockets etc. Small bags mostly just need protection. I have multiple organizers from Connie @ Divide and Conquer on Etsy, she doesn’t ship internationally unfortunately. But hers are made from heavy canvas in an array of colors, have a waterproof inside bottom and flexible ends so they don’t misshape your bags, and they work beautifully. She’s a great person to work with too, she did a custom size for me and it was flawless. Some women buy diaper bag inserts from her as they have a zillion items for baby and still want to travel in style with their NF or other nice bags.

didn’t mean to ramble - as always I appreciate your kindness :flowers:

I definitely prefer zoomoni! I have 3 organizers from them so far. The only issue I have is ordering from their website and PayPal. I always end up getting my payment locked by PayPal that requires verification. Does anyone else have that issue? I wanted a organizer for my speedy nano

I’ve had that happen a few times with LV - dk why. Ended up using a different payment card.

I tried with two different credit cards and both times PayPal locked the payment from going to zoomoni and I just tried using PayPal instead and that seemed to go through. Thanks lol I felt silly trying more than 2 methods. So odd that the payment methods are all linked to PayPal

Well good grief - it sure doesn’t sound like anything you did! Payment systems get kind of wonky sometimes when it’s from another country, but who knows. I’ve had my credit card company lock my card for $1.30 purchase that I made in my own hometown. And then I can buy a bag from LV out of town and not a peep from them. It does seem weird that all your pay methods are linked to PayPal. I’m glad it went through for you! I know not everyone wants inserts for their bag but it’s nice to have one when you want it :flowers:

Hi there, I was wondering how long did you have to wait for the Samorga inserts? Also, for me, I noticed another charge on my PayPal. That one was the insert price sans delivery charge.
I have waited on average 4 weeks for Samorga, which is annoying if you have a new bag you want to protect! Zoomoni is usually 7-10 days at most. How strange on the charge - they charged you twice for the insert?
