My Levears came today. I tried them with my South Sea pearls, which ALWAYS sag...they are 13mm. With these backs, they sit straight on my ears...I'm very pleased! I've been using the tapes for a while...for post earrings, there is no comparison! These are great! Will report back...they haven't come yet. I took the plunge with the 20% off...just ordered the sterling ones.
This is a great review! Thanks so much for doing this!I received both the Levears and the Honora Happy Backs. I tested them with the new studs that seem too heavy for me (they're about 10mm gemstones with a little metalwork), and I compared them to the jumbo backs that came with the earrings.
Levears: these give the most support of the three styles. They are overkill for my lighter weight earrings, but for this heavy pair, they are the most effective at getting the earrings to sit up straight when positioned on the second "click" position. They come with a "left" and a "right" back.
Honora Happy Backs: When positioned with the arch in the "smile" position, they are visible below my earlobe (small, attached type). So I rotated them to the other direction so that the arch is on top, like the Levears. Worn this way, they give a little less support than the Levears on the second click position, but that's plenty for my smaller pearl studs to look great.
For the heavy studs, I like both kinds a little better than the jumbo backs because I can stop at the second click, instead of pushing the back all the way in for the heavy studs to sit up. I'm thinking of keeping all of them for the different levels of support for my various earrings.

Thanks for posting. Great information! I'm thinking about getting the Levears myself but also the Honor Happy Backs. I have several stud earrings that could use extra support.I received both the Levears and the Honora Happy Backs. I tested them with the new studs that seem too heavy for me (they're about 10mm gemstones with a little metalwork), and I compared them to the jumbo backs that came with the earrings.
