Thanks everyone for your kind words! I contemplated this and while I was trying to decide I found a beautiful locket with a front and back compartment, so I can have a photo in the front and seal the ashes in the back. I told my friend's mother about this and she loves the idea and would like to have one, as well. I am having his initial engraved on the front of the locket. I may get the tear pendant later, or for his mom.
