Sad about all the bad rap that T&Co is getting

You know it's funny, the silver line and it's affordability is something I really love about Tiffany's. Everybody is able to buy something, from a young Teenage Boy buying his girlfriend something to people who can't always afford very expensive gifts but would still love something special. You can't even step into cartier without a couple of thousand dollars, lol

That is so true :smile1:

I love Tiffany's fine jewellery and I don't feel their silver line detracts from it. Their customer service is great and the quality and beauty of the pieces is there. I don't purchase Tiffany jewellery so that strangers can see it and think 'Oh, that comes from a prestige brand.' Frankly I don't believe most people recognise Tiffany pieces, or Cartier either. 99% of people aren't as into jewellery as I am, of course ladies of TPF would recognise it!

I am hurting a little from the latest price increase - they are always too much - but I don't understand why Cartier 'gets away' with this and Tiffany gets hate. All luxury brands do it.

Tiffany is such a great brand! when i was younger i really appreciate the silver pieces because i could enjoy the great designs at a more affordable price point, this should not detract anyone to buy their higher end jewellery because tiffany have such classic pieces that are well made, well designed and of course still shows exclusivity to anyone lucky enough to own one. :smile1:

Some of Tiffany sterling silver pieces are iconic. The Elsa Peretti Bone cuff/open heart, Frank Gehry Orchid/Fish line, Tiffany Return To/Beads line, etc. They have been around a long time and have stood the test of time. To me that's the most important thing!
I have both gold/diamond and sterling silver pieces and enjoy them all.

I hear you ! The latest price increase hurt a lot. We are in Oz and the 10% increase on top of the fact that we pay already a lot more then in the U.S. is almost too much. The ring I am struggling to save up for went up by 500$ which for me is a lot !

I have been buying Tiffany's since 2012 (so not that long ago), and honestly, while I love the brand, and while it will always have a special place in my heart (my first piece of luxury jewelry), I will probably not purchase anything from them anymore save for perhaps a couple of fine jewelry pieces. I can't justify the price: after purchasing cartier and VCA fine jewelry (which are more expensive but honestly, Tiffany fine jewelry is expensive as well), I see the HUGE quality difference. The necklace chains that Tiffany has are so thin and weak, and honestly, they are definitely skimping on the materials. I mean, it hasn't stopped me from buying ~10 pieces lol....

I have bought from VCA, Cartier, and Tiffany. And honestly I love Tiffany service only. With Tiffany I feel I paid premium for all my jewelry guaranteed for lifetime. Polishing, cleaning, reshaping, diamond check every time ..any Tiffany stores in the world.

Can VCA and Cartier do that..nope! ! most of the stores don't even have dedicated customer service to help..the SA does everything. I bought my Cariter 10 diamond love for polishing, they charged me $250. VCA dont offer extensive cleaning service.

In the luxury world, no brand gives you a lifetime of service for free..not Hermes, Chanel, VCA, or Cartier. Anything you have to pay for later on. Tiffany is the only brand that backs their product 100%. ( of course I'm only taking about Platinum);)

Agree !!! I love their customer service, and they try their Best to resolve issues.
I lost an earring butterfly back from my gold flower earrings and my SA gave me a free gold pair. It even came in a lovely blue pouch.
When I bought another piece, not even a very expensive piece, my SA send me a handwritten "Thank you" card and a little polishing cloth for my handbag.
Just a few examples.
When my husbands Cartier Cufflinks broke after just 2 mths, it was a massive argument and having to speak to several people, then waiting another 3 mths (!) before they came back repaired. Plus I really find Cartier SA's abit snooty, which is something I totally hate ! Having worked for a high end jeweller myself, I know how much they make, lol and believe me, it's nothing to be arrogant about ;p

Good post. I do have to say Tiffany does have good customer service. :smile1: I look forward to buying my last few silver and gold pieces.

I just called Tiffany to ask about some repairs. My gold chain broke, no parts missing $70 quote to repair. It broke and I *almost* lost my gold key!! sigh.

I also had an enamel fall off a heart on a cheap silver beaded bracelet and they said they would also have to repair but she had no quote on that. I refuse to pay so I stuck it back with crazy glue. It looks bad though!! :( I will probably just send for a replacement like they suggested in the first place and suck it up.

I also had an amethyst break off a white gold ring and they want to charge me for it.

I'm SO over tiffany.

I honestly love Tiffany & Co silver. I can shower with it and still have it looking new. I think they put the most silver into their jewelry. I love my Pandora but it oxidizes much quicker and it doesn't last as long as my Tiffany. The silver is of good quality.

I have to agree with the customer service being the best. Every city I go to, I have visited the Tiffany store. The SoCal stores (they have about 7 in the LA area alone), sf, Chicago, Seattle, NY, Houston, plus others and I pretty much receive the same unpretentious and gracious service. I never feel like I'm being pressured or pushed to make a purchase. And the SAs are very knowledge and just seem to have tact and class. They don't have that kind of obnoxious air that many stores have.

(There were a couple times when an SA was unknowledgable but I've visited Tiffany stores many times and I have to admit Im such a long time customer that I feel like I know more than an inexperienced SA). But this occurrence has been rare.

Of all my experiences (this is a guy's experience so Im not speaking for buying women's purses) from bottega, ferragamo, Gucci, prada, goyard, Burberry...Tiffany is still my favorite. From thank you notes, the personal emails, and the helpfulness, they're just consistently appreciative and sincere.

As it is with all stores, it helps when u have a relationship. I've established a close relationship with a sales associate for a few years now so the service is even better and I've received some complimentary services.

Agree on all. I miss my SA who moved to New York and have to find a new one now [emoji853]
