Rubis vs Rouge Grenat help

OP did you decide? I know it's an old thread. I stumbled upon this threads because I've recently failed in love with the Rouge Grenat color especially in Togo leather. The color is so gorgeous so I'm just digging the internet to look at all the bags in that color. I looked up Rubis and it's such a similar color as well (although it's a BIT brighter i think?)

I am trying to figure out the color of Rouge Grenat. It does not appear red to me---it appears burgandy in the photos in this thread. I want a Hermes Birkin in red, but it is so hard to figure out the color.

Rouge Grenat is red— maybe not in the same way that Rouge Vif or Rouge Casaque are red, but still red nonetheless. It does, however, definitely have some blue undertones which lend to its burgundy appearance. If you’re looking for a flat, less dynamic red colour, then I would consider other options than Rouge Grenat.
