That was fast! Props for the Duchess - leaving hospital in heels! (I know she did last time but I think they waited a bit longer to leave!) She looks lovely though.
When I think how I was 10 hrs after giving birth - I could barely walk to the bathroom unaided! And I left bloodstains every where I sat!
Mind you, maybe a quick birth is easier to bounce back from.
Still - major props to her!
Our second was born in two hours, weighing almost 10lbs and it was so quick, I could have l left the birthing centre in heels. Such a short labour is very violent but so quick, you don't have time to become exhausted. Twenty four hours later, my midwife caught me at home, washing the toilets...lol

Alice is a pretty name but I have a soft spot for the name Alexandra. I also think it's a nice tribute to QE2's great grandmother, Queen Alexandra, who was by all accounts a beautiful, stylish, charming, accomplished woman who somehow tolerated Edward VII and his many affairs, including one with Camilla's great grandmother, Alice Keppel. (Maybe that's why I'm a bit biased against the name Alice lol.)
My second was born in about 6 hours and I also could have walked out no problem a short time later and in heels. It was an easy birth and I think after having one, everything is familar and you know exactly what to do with a newborn. I went home and cooked dinner that night for my entire family plus grandparents lol.
Haha, have to laugh at these quick births as my second was like lightening and I was exercising two days later.

I'm rooting for Charlotte as one of her names. Charlotte Alexandra Frances. George has three names rather than four.. so maybe they'll keep the tradition going.
Her birth also means that when William is king the title of Princess Royal will be used.
