I would have thought so too, but I remembered this meeting with Queen Rania. A faux pas?

Not only that, it is obvious that they love and respect one another and the same can't be said of the last King with his wandering eye. Notice how you see Queen Sofia and he is totally in hiding?

I agree with all you've said. I'd add that CP Mette Marit is practically in Stephanie territory. That pea green suit and black stockings/shoes looks like something my grandmother would have worn in the 80's.

MAGNIFICENT is the only word I can use to describe QE2 in the black and white photo. WOW, the jewels, the gown AND the veil!
and when you see her now she is smiling ... she never did if he was with her.
Sofia is enjoying her new role and as a mother, she is thrilled with the reception the her son has received and also how well Leti is doing in her new position. So very nice to see them looking happy!
