Yes, this family is a reality show at times. Great drama in life and in death, affairs, out of wedlock children up the whazoo, runaway fiancees, alcoholic husbands. public micturition. I must have left some thing out.

they just aren't very "royal" are they? Caroline was pregnant when she married husband no.2 and husband no.3, husband no. 3's wife was considered a good friend of Caroline's until they began their affair (of which she is now regretting obviously), Albert has his illegitimate children and don't even get me started on Stephanie's wild youth (didn't she marry/shack up with a circus owner?). i read somewhere that the rest of the royal houses of Europe aren't too crazy about the Monaco group.

In actuality QE2 is an expert on medals. She know every medal and what they stand for: she's a military ands history buff (..and given her job she's seen these medals more than anyone). She's probably explaining every portion of those medals mean.

That is what I would expect. It is good to know she really is looking at the medals and making sure they are made correctly, etc. We don't often get to see that side of the ceremony.

Bea...I am only going to ask about the sleeve length of the jacket...are they too short?

There's a documentary ( I forget the named) wherein QE2 tells the head medal guy the history and purpose of some medals she was presenting that day.

Yes, Bea's jacket sleeves are too short.

What I can't stand is how the sisters are always by Albert's side at official engagements. I totally get they seem to be a very close family but it's increasingly becoming difficult to see who is the main ruler sometimes as there seems to be a lack of formality. There seems to be a need to share the spotlight while it's not theirs. In other royal families, the current 'ruler' is always first in line, then their children and then the siblings. (OK, in Monaco's case, it 'would' be Albert and Charlene, then the older sister, followed by the youngest.) But nope, even though Albert is the current ruler, his sisters have to be there too and make their entrances by their brother's side, unless there is a balcony appearance of some kind. I'm sorry; this really gets on my nerves.

I think for major events the whole family attends because it is tradition when the parents were a live they attended. I also think it is great that the family attends these big events and are seen that is why people come to these events to see the royals. Stephanie tends to go to a few major events and her charity events I like that they support each other.

CP Mary as royal patron attend the 10th anniversary conference of Maternity Foundation today.

I like the hair and the pants but I think the Zara top is too casual. It looks like a pajama topl.

Yesterday, HGD Guillaume and Stephanie attended the 8th Innovation Corp.

The only thing wrong with this dress is the color. Putty washes her out a little. Also, the length
the length is a tad too short, throws of her proportions. Her shoes are a distraction. They draw
the eye down to her feel.

i've always thought that was part of Charlene's "sadness." Caroline hates having her position as first lady of Monaco taken away by Albert's bride and has made things difficult for Charlene. of course, this is only my take on the situation.

Monaco -- remember Somerset Maugham a lifetime ago referred to it as 'a sunny place for shady people'.

Mary....agree about the top, but love that pearl bracelet! Thanks for the closeup ;) Her red dress looks good.

Leti...very beautiful. Red is such a good color for her. Agree about the dress,,,shoes are gorgeous.

I agree and Caroline is older than Albert and in another time, she would have been the ruler. I think Charlene has other "issues" as well and it is reflected on her looking unhappy most of the time. It could be a case of "them" against her. I also agree that they all show up because it is what the people expect and good for tourism.

Totally have a crush on this man. *sigh* I never thought I would see Leti in an outfit that looks too tight, but I think so here. No likey.

Love the bracelet! Such a fun piece. I have done this with a long pearl necklace.
