I just wonder how is the color look like in the real world? :confused1:
Because I can't trust the pictures on the web. Some are too pale.
Is anybody have a picture? :sos::help:

So I ordered a Rouge Cardinal coin purse from Bal.
Got it today (this time came with a year card.. yaay), and decided to compare it to my Coquelicot Part-time.
This is going to sound weird but, either I'm color blind and don't see a difference, or there's really no difference in the colors. :pullhair:

I remember seeing it in person, and at the time, I thought it looked like my Coquelicot. But because I've worn my Coquel. all of 3 times, I couldn't really picture Coq too well and figured there had to be a difference.

Now, either Bal really screwed up and sent me a Coq coin purse with the wrong year card, I'm color blind, or they really are the same... which doesn't make any sense..

I took a bunch of pics in different lighting. Does anyone see a difference????

YES! They look exactly the same in person as well. I think they may have sent the wrong coin purse?

I ordered the Coquelicot from Bal online April 1st 2012 (i think?).
But, it didn't come with the year card. I thought it might be 2011 because someone else had a regular hw part time from 2011. But if they released the exact same bag in 2012, then I guess it could be 2012?

In other words, no idea.

I think the 2012 bags have the season letter on the back to the tag. Check and see if it is there.

One thing's changed when ordering with Balenciaga online.
They use to send it out of their warehouse in Jersey and the items never came with the year card. Annoyed me very much as I ordered quite a few bags from them

Now, it's being shipped by Yoox. Also from Jersey but a different address. The year card's there, a brown Bal bag, and a bunch of extra packaging. It's a very nice change.

Then again, maybe they messed up with my coin purse..lol..

Seriously - it looks the exact same! Even the texture of your leather looks the same. On the other hand switching out a date card would be too thought out IMO. I think they would have just not sent a card it they switched them out.
I saw several items of Rouge Cardinal IRL at NM. I didn't have my Coquelicot Velo with me at the time to compare but now wish that I did. Maybe next time I'm there I'll carry my Velo & check it out.

Please do and let me know what you think. There's something very strange going on. I just can't believe this is Rouge Cardinal.
Plus, other have said that RC has more of a pink undertone than Coquelicot. But my coin purse doesn't.
Ceejay once posted that different batches can have a color difference. Well, this batch is Coquelicot with different name.

I went to Barney's today and saw rouge cardinal. It is virtually the same a coq. Coq has a bit of an orange undertone, other than that they are pretty similar to the eye.

Good to know I'm not imagining this.
I'm gonna take both out tomorrow and look at them again in natural sunlight.
But indoors, side by side, mine look identical in color.

Why would Bal do this? They couldn't come up with a more original red?? And just a few seasons apart! wow..
