Hi all!

I'm planning on my next B/K and thinking of getting one with RGHW.
A few concerns:
  • Heard from many in the IG community that RGHW tarnishes
  • My personal experience with Hermes RGHW is on a Clic H wallet, it tarnished very quickly from the time I bought it (my SA gave me a silver polishing cloth but it didn't work. a few ladies used a Tiffany & Co. one and it worked to remove the tarnish apparently!)
I was hoping to hear from all of you here, in case have experiences / advice on Hermes' RGHW!
Any thoughts?

Thank you!

I bought a Clic 16, black chevre with rose gold hardware and used it through last winter and no sign of tarnish. I wonder is the level of humidity may be a factor. I just put it away in a dust jacket and box. Summers are hot and humid here so perhaps I should take it out of the box but in the dj so it doesn’t overheat. Just kidding about the overheating as the house has a/c, but the tarnishing of any hardware is a conundrum.

All of my H belts with RGHW tarnished!!!!!! There's no such issue with my H bags nor H belts with GHW or PHW ! I talked to my SA about it, she said that there shouldn't be such problem and she has never heard of it..... I store my H bags and belts in cabinets with dehumidfiers already.

Do you live in a tropical climate area? I've heard rg is more prone to tarnishing in a humid climate area but I haven't experienced it myself. I live in a temperate climate area.

I own a Constance for about 3-4 yrs now and I did notice then rose gold color faded on the horizontal part of the buckle. I don’t live hot humid country.

Took out my B25 today and noticed a significant amount of tarnishing on the rose gold hardware. Tried using VCA jeweler’s cloth with no luck. I live in a humid part of the world. Very disappointing to see - I don’t have this issue with any of my PHW or GHW bags.

May I recommend this, it has worked wonders for all of my tarnished HW:

It’s because of the copper content that makes it rose. (Inevitable unfortunately). Delvaux retconned my rose gold hardware for my special order because they didn’t want me to be upset with tarnishing so they told me to choose another hardware.

I hope it works for you! It's worked on all my hardware, including rose gold, permabrass and brushed ghw! I wish I had taken before and after pics, I was truly blown away!
I just wanted to come on here and thank you again. My Connoisseurs jewelry cloth came in today and it worked! Miss Mauve Sylvestre is back looking her best. You are a lifesaver
