Roomy, minimalist (affordable?) leather backpack?

I also like this one, though strangely more in this color than in the black (which it comes in as well). I'm sure it's not practical, and may be a bit too small, but I do think it's quite beautiful.

I like it better than the Baggu, but I am biased towards the Dasso Leathers etsy one,, I am having her make me one in Camoflauge (sp?) patterned goat leather. Should be pretty cool!

Tpf strikes again [emoji6] I think I'm on my way to a slightly customized order with dasso leathers - thanks ladies![emoji309][emoji173]️

Any thoughts on whether I should go with the webbing straps like on the one here (bough black with black):

Or have leather straps, like the ostrich one here (though in regular leather):

Laurel seems to prefer the webbing, but I'm feeling indecisive...

Did she give a reason for the webbing preference? I think either would look good. Mine will have leather straps but it is a print so I didn't want a different colored strap.

Tough decision. Usually I would say trust Laurel's judgment but hmm, I think leather would be nice, too. I'm no help.

Now that I have looked at both examples, I think in a plain bag I would go with the webbing, it looks 'slimmer, sleeker' somehow. But the leather would look nice too, don't get me wrong.

I hope whatever you go with you are happy. i'd hate for you to be disappointed.

Will you b e carrying heavy things in the bag? I find webbing straps feel quite diggy on me especially with a heavy load. Leather straps will be more comfortable. Though if you are not planning to carry a load, the webbing straps look more suitable for the casual look of the bag.

I'm sure I will be carrying a lot in it - that's actually why I wanted a backpack in the first place. So laurel actually seemed to think that the webbing might be more comfy? And aesthetically she likes the look of the webbing a lot. I'm just sort of wondering if keeping the bag all one material will make it feel sleeker to me? And if all leather will look chicer? Hmmm [emoji37]

Ok. Spoke to laurel this morning and leather it is! So so excited to get this. Thanks so much ladies for the advice [emoji4] I knew I could count on you to help find the right thing [emoji6]

Yes. Might look a bit different than yours, it is based on the ostrich models, but in a different leather.

Cool. The design should be roughly the same though? Especially since I'm going for leather straps like the ostrich and no skulls? What differences just out of curiosity? I love the black ostrich btw[emoji7]

Yes basically the same, but with skulls cuz I love skulls :smile1:

There looks to be stitching on the front pocket of the ostrich, it's kind of trimmed with a rim of leather from what I can see.
