I'm in the market for a roomy, but minimalist, leather backpack, ideally in black. Something that can be used for getting around the city and running errands - so large enough to say, hold my daughter's lunchbox, or fit in a loaf of bread if I stop at the bakery. Also shouldn't be too heavy for carrying around all day. I like the look of mansur gavriel backpacks, and have a couple of their other styles, but the backpack is just more than I want to spend on something that I can see getting abused daily. I saw this baggu backpack on shopbop which looks great, and is at the top of my price range. Any thoughts on the quality? Any other suggestions that have a similar feel (i.e. minimal hardware and simple, timeless, sleek design)? Thanks!

The Baggu one looks like a boxing bag to me.

How about these?

The 3 at the bottom looks like they may fit what you are looking for: minimal hardware, simple and sleek.

Thanks. Not totally loving those - especially since for the price I would rather a full leather bag - plus I'm guessing with the exchange rate and shipping they would creep up there price wise. Any other suggestions much appreciated [emoji4] and any thoughts on the etsy bag? It looks like I might not be able to get the smooth shiny leather, maybe only a matte smooth leather though. Not sure how I feel about that...

I have many of her bags. Top-notch handmade quality!

Thanks! Do they look "handmade" or so they have a crisp professional finish? The reviews are all great so I assume the latter? It's just that I want such a sleek minimal style that I don't want it to look crafty at all, if that makes sense...

It's alright, I like that more than the Baggu. But looks rather masculine to me. The one that chessmont shared is really nice!

I know what you mean, no everything looks very professionally finished. You can browse the other styles to get the feel for it. Doesn't look like you got it at an arts and craft fair...
