Rolex or Cartier love or Hermes Kelly

Which is why I had originally gave up on the Kelly the resale prices seems to be more then the retail price. However, I guess it could be an only bag, if I was brave enough to sell my whole collection to fund it.... Then with resale even through trusted dealers, I always worry about authenticity.

Once you have the kelly, you won't want to carry your other bags anyway...

Is the Kelly opening much different then the double flap, my jumbo was my everyday bag until about a week ago. I didn't find it difficult even though I have heard others complain. I just fell out of love with the cavier leather after I got the reissue. The reissue is so soft that the cavier started feeling plasticity. If I ever get another cf I would go with the lamb skin. However, the lock didn't bother me. I do love my reissue and that's why I was thinking of the love or Rolex. I felt I don't need too many bags at once. However, I really downsized a lot lately. I sold off all my lv bags go purchase my Chanel addiction. Then I have started selling off my Chanel bags, to start a Kelly fund. However in the middle of making my fund is when I decided maybe I wanted the love bracelet or Rolex. At this point everyone has convinced me its too risky to get a preloved Rolex. A new Cartier is in the reach. However, I think as of now I should try to get the Kelly. My bag collection is really down pretty small. For me personally the Chanel reissue, Hermes Kelly, a clutch and a perfect tote will be my perfect collection. Maybe I should finish that first and then move onto jewelry.

The Kelly turnlock is similar to the Chanel flap lock, but not exactly the same. I have a couple of Kellys and a couple of Reissues (my fav Chanel bag, aren't they great?:smile1:). If you're only going to use the turnlock on the Kelly and leave the straps undone, the mechanism is similar, but the bag is weighted differently. With the Chanel, I find I can open and close the bag easily while it's on my shoulder, while the Kelly, I have to support the bottom of the bag with one hand or my leg while I do the turnlock with the other hand. People will also tell you that if you only use the turnlock and not the straps, you have to be careful not to overload the bag because over time, the turnlock can bend. I haven't had that problem, but others have. I don't fasten the straps because it's just too many steps to get in and out of the bag (although if you're an area where you're worried about pickpockets, closing the bag "properly" with straps and flap all closed up would be a pretty good deterrent!). Hope I explained this OK and that it makes sense!

I did mine in order of the Kelly first, Love bracelet second and then Rolex. This was before Cartier increased their prices on a regular basis.

However, since things have changed, I would get the Love bracelet first, secondly the Kelly and then the Rolex. Mind you, I can't justify the price of a Love bracelet nowadays.
