I agree there are so many places willing to give discount. A few years ago you would NEVER of got a discount on a Rolex but now they will bite your hand off. I think will something like this its about going in an trying it on a talking to the stockist. I mean if something went wrong you have had it. The going to buy is part of the fun. Enjoy

I would buy from the store, there might be a deal to had on ebay, but you really need to know exactly what the model you are interested in looks like, so you can spot the fakes. I would suggest an authorized dealer instead as everyone else is mentioning.

I bought all my watches on Ebay - major auction houses with considerable feedback. If you are still not sure, check with Authentication threads here. I found a lot of stores mark up their watches (new and used) quite a bit, so you end up paying through the nose.

^^ ITA 100%! I would buy from anyone, but thoroughly do my homework first.
I've bought many authentic designer watches on eBay, in mint condition, for 30% to 50% of retail. As for warranty, I have a great jeweler/watchmaker who takes care of all my watch/jewelry repairs, for way less than authorized repair shop would. My advice would be to research and find one for yourself!!:D

i would recommend Tourneau. that is where i got my rolex.
in NYC, wempe is good. my husband got his there.
