Hello all!
So I am gathering info to buy my first rolex to wear w/my plain YG love bracelet! So far I know a few things that I want for sure:
- two tone or ss/gold
- 31 mm
- no diamonds

Also, I want a very clean simple look that I can wear day to night.

so my question is:
- jubilee/oyster bracelet? (I think jubilee has a new clasp with the little rolex emblem. Does oyster have the same new clasp?)
- fluted/domed bezel?
- Mother Of Pearl/white face? (Does MOP damage more easy?)
- roman #'s/line markers?

What style should I go for? Datejust?

My clean, simple, subtle Rolex is a ladies two-tone Datejust, jubilee bracelet, fluted bezel, white dial with roman numerals. A classic IMO perfect for most occasions.

I don't know if the Oyster has the new clasp.

I feel the Oyster bracelet is more sporty than potentially dressy

^ I do like the jubilee but I have doubts about the fluted bezel. Would it look weird to have jubilee bracelet with domed bezel? Like they don't match?

-I honestly don't know, have never seen one - can you go to the jewelers and see if they have that combination? Just off-hand, I'd say the Oyster bracelet would go better with the domed dial, but that's JMO. Have an actual look at the combinations if you can, The authorized dealer has a catalog with detailed pics - maybe you can find comparison watches in it.

There is a picture of the jubilee bracelet and domed bezel on forum. I think it is from Lola24 or a similar name. The watch looks beautiful with that combo - IMO. I will try to find it for you but I've definitely seen pictures of it several times.

Gator bag lady - I share the same thoughts with chessmont jubilee bracelet with fluted bezel and oyster bracelet with dome bezel. Although have seen the 2 other combinations, it just doesn't feel like Rolex. Anyway, Rolex is popular for it's jubilee bracelet and fluted bezel. Also remember, less scratches can be seen on jubilee bracelet and on fluted bezel!

Good luck, we look forward to see your selection soon.

Thanks Hokaplan! I'll look for that pic too

Really good point nvie! Definitely something to consider.

I'll probably go to the Rolex store sometime next week and see what looks best. I'll let you know what I decide!!
