i have a mid sized tahitian mop diamond marker rolex and i love it!!! it has so many fun colors to it when the light hits it! the diamonds look great off the darker mop...i think it's fun and young! i think the regular faces are so plain!! keep in mind that rolex won't change the face to mop down the road because they are too delicate...
i get so many compliments on my watch!

I own a Rolex with MOP dial and diamond markers and I love it.
I suppose that it can be alittle harder to read than the white dial, but it's not a big deal to me and the MOP is so much nicer looking IMHO :)

I have the same watch. Rolex, White gold, MOP dial, diamond markers. Love it and love MOP :) I have never once thought that MOP is for "mature" ladies.

How old are you guys that have the MOP? With the exception of the black MOP, I think the white ones would be hard to read. But it depends on your age and when/if you eventually need reading glasses. I had lasik eye surgery when I was 38 and my dr. predicted that I would eventually need reading glasses when I turned 40. Well, it wasn't until this year (age 45) that I finally began to notice the change in reading clothing labels for washing instructions and frozen food labels for cooking instructions. I know it is just a matter of time (pardon the pun) before I have trouble reading face on watch. So while I absolutely love the MOP, I wouldn't get one at my age. Different situation if I was in my 20's or 30's....

-I am 53, have a Daytona with the black MOP dial. If I didn't wear progressives (trifocals), I would have a hard time reading that dial, even on that size watch. Tehn again, I would also have a hard time reading any ladies' size Rolex w/o my lenses. I just got my first ladies (white dial, Roman numerals) in YEARS, because I broke down and got progressives. I also have progressive contac lenses I wear sometimes instead of my glasses. Hmm, I'm rambling...:p
Some of us might have problems reading the MOP, others not - I guess you'll have to test it out in the store if they have it there...

I had a white MOP dial on a ladies' when I was in my 40's and had no trouble reading it.

I think it dresses up or down, like many Rolexes so I don't see it as only for mature women - especially in a sporty model like Yachmaster or Daytona.

MOP on a Rolex watch is the most goregous that I have seen!!! I'm 28 and my hubby gave me a white MOP Rolex and I wouldn't trade it for any other dial, also I know that the reason some ladies don't care for MOP is because it's more expensive and they don't want to spend the extra or maybe can't, btw, I'm only speaking of ladies I know...

I love the mother of pear dials Rolex puts out, I don't see any "age" issues with them. However, I also fell in love with the pink dial, which is a very nude pink and just beautiful on my skin tone, given that I could not justify spending that much more money on something that I loved just as much, maybe even a little less.....

Hi all!! I saw this thread and can't help but come in because I was eyeing this Rolex MOP Datejust by Melrose Diamonds.

Was just wondering since all of you own Rolex, do any of you buy them online? If so, any good reliable retailers to recc.?

Do feel free to PM me if the information is not convenient to be shared openly.

Thanks!!! =)
Pixie- I googled the Melrose Diamond place....not good reviews and they may be scammers....google it and check it out!
