Hi all -

Purchased this a few days ago from Macy's and posted about it in the "closer look at fall" thread. I said I'd post pictures when I figured out how so here goes...hope they show up!

A few days into using this bag and I really do love it. I am still a bit leery about the orange. I love the contrast in color but I feel that the orange limits what I can wear it with. I wish upon a wish that they come out with this in an all black version (maybe suede with glove tanned...pretty please?)...the organization, IMO, is what makes this bag. The little knot detail that I found unsightly at first has flattened out and I barely notice it now. I'm hoping when the weather cools and I'm wearing mostly black jackets, it will provide the freedom to wear it more often than I do with my summer duds.

Congrats and enjoy :smile1:

Mine finally arrived. It took forever to unwrap everything since there are so many little details. My first thought was it's small. It looks smaller than the regular Dakotah. I like the ginger color -- it's not orangey to me. Boy, there are a lot of compartments.

Here are some comparison shots with the Dakotah

Here is the inside with my non-coach wallet and 2 lesportsac pouches (the one in front measures 5 by 7).

I don't do good mod shots but here goes. I am almost 5'3" petite.

It is a beautiful bag.

Congrats! Looks great on you :smile1:

Okay, on a whim I put my black cherry feather fob on this bag and I think I really like it. It breaks up the white a bit. What do you think? I also tried my hardest to take a mod shot but I am horrid at it. But alas, here is the sad fruit of my labor...I'm 5' 7"...when I have it "on", I do feel like it's got a lot more size to it than the black/ginger. So sorry for the terrible selfie :shucks:

I think it looks great on you! That said, I don't know if you have the smaller brooklyn (and yes the various pockets remind me of that bag), so you might think differently than me. As much as I loved all of the pockets on the Brooklyn, it didn't work for me because the bag was so tight and small, even for me who likes fairly small (not mini) bags.

So as you are mulling it over, decide if it is spacey enough for you for the long term.... only saying this because the small factor with all of those pockets in the Brooklyn made it not work for me long term. I regretted my purchase. I know others loved the bag, though.

The bag looks great on you. The feather looks good on the bag too -- adds a good pop of color -- does it get in the way when you open it or lift the flap? I don't usually like a chain strap but there's so much leather (and so little chain) that I don't mind it. Thanks for posting the pics.

Good question - it probably will. I haven't actually cut the tags or used it yet. But, when I was putting it up on the shelf, the feathers fell behind. I don't think it will be an issue though...I'm one of those ppl who seems to always be adjusting my fobs so that they are turned the right way, etc.

Nice size. It looks good on you and the feather sets it off.

Thanks for sharing your experience with the Brooklyn -- I don't have that bag but always thought it was cute. I need to decide if I am ok with the size because I really like the look.

Love it! Amazing how purse comes to life when you see real people carrying them versus pics on Coach site.
