Right hand ring ideas for a solitaire diamond

I think a halo setting, with or without colored stones, would look great as a right hand ring. I don't think it'd look too much like an engagement ring, especially since it's princess cut.

^^I agree, I think halo is the way to go, it shouldn't look too e-ringy, & halos are really gorgeous!

I think a three-stone ring would be a good idea. Your diamond could be the center and whatever colored gem stones you like best could be the side stones.

I think you already own the priciest stone (the diamond) so maybe the additional stones plus the cost of the setting will still be reasonable.

I had actually ordered a ring from a company in CA, and it wasn't quite what I wanted, so they said they were willing to give me credit towards something else (this all just happened yesterday!). I found a halo setting I like, but with yellow diamonds in the halo, and I asked them if they could do it. They are pricing it out now, and will get back to me - can't wait!

i would research jewellers in my area and find a real artisan jeweller to make me an original, beautiful cocktail ring to wear on my right hand. i'm a ring girl and i wear a lot of 'eccentric' rings and i'd go all out and have something made that was a one-of-a-kind mini work of art. maybe de grisogono-esque in inspiration, or something like that.

these are all different shapes and different colours and stones and i know yours is a round diamond, but just to give you an idea of the kinds of styles i'm talking about. i would go beyond the more 'classic' halos and/or pink and yellow diamonds and explore pavé in black or brown diamonds or emeralds, rubies, etc.

lol yeah i mostly posted them as inspiration, something you could show a jeweler and ask, 'what can you make me that's similar but cheaper?'

Jewelers such as Zales and Kays Host restyle events every couple of months. They bring in designers with loose stone and gemstones, as well as various mountings of different styles. You could choose a mounting for your solitaire and then choose either gemstones or diamonds to frame the diamond,or travel along the band. I think that Litmman's, who is now Fred Meyers also host them, or something like them.
It cost more money to have one made from scratch, because the cast would haveto be made, the gold, and the jewelers price.
