thank you!! so basically we laid out a price below my budget and were able to explore options based on that, so in my case i wasn't able to use my rib but it knocked off 2k usd right there so i was fine with it. also i gave them permission to use my ba pics with my eyes blurred for a 5% discount, without eyes blurred would be 10% and 1st button doesn't offer discounts for reviews hahaha
it really wasnt difficult though as dr kim was very flexible and I felt like he genuinely wanted to help me even though he's still running a business, really solidified him as my choice
tysm :)! I read your current comments (further down the thread) about not using rib. I've used rib haha and tbh I would avoid it if I didn't have to but sadly I got no structure so needed to . It's best to keep it simple as possible :) Glad you're happy with your results :D

ahh i see, i was a little bummed about not being able to use my rib actually but i guess i've got nothing to worry about. thank you!! :)

Hi everyone!

I'm really bad at reviews so I'll try to keep this brief hahaha
So it's been two weeks now since my surgery with Dr Kim and it's safe to say I'm genuinely happy with the results. I know it's still early to tell but I'm loving my new nose and I can't wait for the final outcome!

Consultations
ILAC: I was met with a consultant before my actual consultation with Dr Ju and I appreciated how meticulous he was as he measured my nose and fitted a couple implants of various sizes for my bridge. There was an in house translator and she was great as well! The price was very reasonable too.

Noselab: I hired a translator (Ryan) for my consultation with Dr Kang as he doesn't speak english. Again, I was met with a consultant where we spoke about my concerns and overall procedure, she was excellent but I found that I spent more time with her instead of Dr Kang which irked me a little. When I finally got to speak to Dr Kang, it was rather hasty and straight to the point, where he basically explained how he would fix my nose. I could tell that he was a brilliant surgeon but the vibes were off. The price was astronimical.

1stbutton: This was the only clinic that broke the consultant > doctor tradition as I was met by Dr Kim almost immediately. We hit it off right out the gate as he addressed my concerns and explained how he would solve them as well as giving tailored suggestions while also tempering expectations. I knew he was the one until we got to the price, I was a little taken aback as it was much higher than the quotation he sent me prior but after several talks, with Ryan's help we were able to negotiate down to a price I was elated with. I booked the surgery the following day.

Surgery Day
Everything went well and pretty much as expected, anesthesia was administered and I awoke with a new nose. I was definitely disorientated after the surgery but thankfully Ryan was there to get me a taxi safely back to my accommodation. Packing was removed a day later which I really appreciated as I heard some clinics do this 3 days later which I can't imagine how unbearable it would be. Stiches and taping were removed a week later, after this I was free! It took an extra week to return to normal but I'm feeling much better now.

Conclusion
Dr Kim is one of a kind. Also I can't stress the importance of hiring a translator, even if you think you won't need one. There's so much more that they provide than just translation. You can reach Ryan on kkt: ryankim13 but he said he's working on a website to make booking him much more convenient.

Quick shotout to @matchagreen and @himoon who were instrumental in my preparation for this event, also to the many others who I have met through this humble forum

If you made it this far, thank you for taking the time to read my shpiel!
EDIT: ryan's website is gangnambuddy.com if anyones interested!

honestly it's because I heard reports of botches cases at ILAC. you could always hire a translator to help negotiate! i recommend ryan@gangnambuddy
Hi! Where have you heard about the botched cases at ILAC? I was really considering Dr. Ju for my primary nose. I think I've heard from several people now of these cases but havent been able to find the references.
Also I added you on KKT if you don't mind :) KKT: Yuzunan

can you tell me why you didnt end up going with ilac? I heard 1st button is crazy expensive and from what ive gathered, it is out of my budget
Me too. I am interested in 1st button and noselab but they are out of my budget. I am wondering noselab accept only USD I heard. Can I do tax free? Does anyone have experiences?

@boksu45 it was from a girl that was in a group chat for ilac patients and she shared a photo of an ex ILAC employee protesting outside the building because her ears were ruined, it was enough to dissuade me but please take this with a grain of salt as im sure there are plenty satisfied patients as well
