Does carnelian fade with time? Want to place a deposit for the bracelet but am a little particular about the color of the stone. I only love carnelian stones that are deep red as opposed to orangey red….
Would SA sending you pictures or videos help? I shop remotely with her and we just compared a few pieces next to each other in pictueres via text. I personally thought the process was very smooth and can't wait to see the bracelet in person :amuse:

Funny you brought this up. My SA sent me some pics of the small batch they received yesterday and we had a hard time picking the right shade I want. The ones I thought look the most vibrant and he said they look darker in real life. He even facetimed me and then they all looked about the same in video and as he move the camera around the color of each bracelet start to shift lol...Finally we just decided that I'm going to drop by tomorrow to pick one out in person

This is what I like about the carnelian. The color shifts depending on the light. However, it’s also one of the hardest stone to pick through pictures or videos.

Haha agreed! It's even harder with VA size because the motifs are bigger so any tint of orange or brown will look more prominent, and when you put it on the color changes too depend on your skin tone. I happened to swing by early and get to see the one I picked out vs. the one my SA picked (I told him to pick one that looks closest to a true, neutral red to him). I ended up with the one he chose. The one I picked out, which I thought look more vibrant in photos & video actually look brown in person & didn't compliment my skin tone at all  Of the 5 I've seen, 3 out of 5 are on the orange side...Not sure if that's the norm but if you can, definitely check them out in person before purchasing it.

If I get a call anytime soon
Otherwise, it’ll have to be through customer service from the site. I’ll just have to keep exchanging till I find the right color.

Hope you'll hear back from your SA soon & good luck with finding one in your desired color on the first go! The bracelet is really pretty in person & I'm sure you'll love it

My SA and I ended up liking the same one out of the small batch she grabbed. At first we liked the same one without removing plastic, but then we immediately preferred another one after removing the plastic. I find it funny that even thin clear plastic is enough to cloud the judgment for carnelian shades. But sounds like we both have a good SA that knows what we are after, although I also wish I have the chance to just drool over all of the bracelets in person ha.

That's good! I think going with what the SA picked is the safest approach, they could see thing what we can't see in person, plus they know what we like and dislike. Even better that you both liked the same ones  I was being stubborn when I picked the brown-ish one, because it looked more cool toned in photos but my SA kept saying, 'girl...you don't want this one, trust me! They're brown, 3 different shades of brown!' Agreed the plastic made a difference, they made the stones look more dull & uniform in color, but once they removed the plastic you can really see the different undertones.

i heard the two motif earrings of this collection are also being offered again? Has anyone actually been able to see one? My SA says not available yet in our boutique.
I've only seen the ring & 5 motif bracelet at the boutique. But if it's confirmed for the relaunch, your SA can order them for you starting on 6/1.

Sounds like you have a really good relationship with your SA  It really makes a big difference when purchasing these luxury items. I hope the earrings will come back some time in the future, they are just so stunning!

Eewww now you mention that orange brown shade seem to be the norm I’m definitely not gonna placed deposit without seeing the color first, my SA told me she will see if she can show me the stone first before placing deposit too, finger crossed, I wonder if anyone on earth prefer orange brown shade carnelian lol as far as I know everybody is searching for true bright red shade and can’t VCA do the job for us at this price point like what they did when choosing turquoise and lapis, almost all of them are in a vibrant uniform bright shade lol

I think since carnelian is semi-translucent, the ones with the orange tint can work on people with darker/warmer skin tones. The brownish one actually looked decent on me, my skin tone is fair with neutral/cool undertone so once I put it on it helps to brighten up the stones a little, making them look less brown and more like a neutral medium-dark red, but on their own they definitely look brown. The ones that lean orange look really bad on me because against my skin they looked even more orange that my SA immediately said 'oh no please put it back', but on my SA's hand they looked bright red. I do feel that a true, neutral red would be universally flattering on most skin tones though instead of making the clients to play mix & match. Dropping $5k+ on a bracelet is already stressful enough imo

OMG excited! so they will be exactly the same as what was launched in 2021?
would anybody know the pricing of these piece this time?

Pricing was shared in an earlier post here:
The ring is $4,950, the bracelet is $5,000, the watch is $17,000 and the necklace is $20,500. The earrings haven’t been brought back to market yet, according to my SA.

I recently purchased a 5 motif MOP VA bracelet from my van cleef boutique before it was announced that they were going to relaunch the rose gold guilloche/carnelian bracelet. I have always loved the pictures of carnelian and RG Guilloche and would definitely have waited to purchase that if I had known it was going to be released. I do love my white MOP/YG bracelet, but I do not know if I should try to return it and purchase the RG/Carnelian bracelet instead. Any suggestions or advice would be really appreciated. Thanks!
