Revolve clothing cancelled my order after 10 days - does this happen often ?

I've ordered from Revolve dozens of times and never had a problem. In fact, they've become my favorite website to order from. I had the same thing (last minute cancellation more than a week after ordering) happen to me recently both at Saks and Barney's so maybe it's more of a problem of them being able to keep up with the sales craze than a permanent downhill trend?? They've been so great with returns, etc. in the past I'd hate to hear that they no longer maintain that level of customer service.

i have ordered from revolve a handful of times this fall and received excellent customer service. sorry to hear about your bad experience  i would be upset, too! you should definitely contact them to see what they can do (discounts, free overnight shipping, etc) to possibly make up for their mistake. i agree with the others and think it probably has to do with the big sale and more people buying because of the holidays. hope you find some new things to buy that u love even more!

I've just had the same thing happen to me with Shopbop. No apologies or emails or anything until I called them for the 4th time since I ordered my items a week ago. I think a lot of it has to do with the massive sales they are having. At least it is well known that Revolve will offer an offended customer a coupon code. I don't think Shopbop or Barney's (another site that cancels often!) offer anything for canceling your orders.

I had kind of a negative experience with them as well recently...I emailed customer service to ask about sizing of some shoes, whether they were in women's or men's sizes. I thought they might be men's so I just wanted to check as they were supposed to be a gift for a friend. The CS rep assured me that they were women's shoes, so I ordered my friend's size. Of course, they arrived and they are men's sizing...so the size sevens that I ordered were actually eight and a halfs. When I checked the site, the shoes were out of stock. I was so sad! When I emailed CS again, they just said "sorry they didn't work out for you" and that I can return them.

I don't think it will stop me from buying from them in the future, but I can totally understand the frustration with their service lately.

I like revolve. I would contact them to see if they'll a discount on future purchases. They "Guarantee" on their site that they will do so:

All items guaranteed in stock in sizes shown, or you receive a coupon for 25% off your next purchase.

Mention to them that they didn't even over this to you and see if they will give you a greater discount. It's worth a shot.

I haven't been having a great time with Revolve either, and it's disappointing cos they have always been prompt and fuss-free the past few times I ordered from them. Last month, I preordered a pair of AG jeans but they never arrived in my size so the preorder was cancelled and they gave me a discount code for my next purchase. I used the coupon for another pair of AGs, and it took them about a week to tell me that the item is out of stock (!). Seems like the website wasn't updated to correspond with the stock in the warehouse. Again, they gave me another discount code which I used to purchase a THIRD item. It's been about two days and it still hasn't shipped. Won't be surprised if they come back and say it's out of stock too :(

Looks like Revolve might have gotten their act together. They shipped two orders of mine over the weekend. Slightly late (about two days after I ordered) compared to previously, but at least the items were not out of stock.

I have also had bad experiences with how they have dealt with returns and responding to email. It's better if you call. Even the online chat they will walk away from for five minutes at a time. I think they have made a decision to move a lot of product with free shipping/free returns/huge discounts incentives, and they don't mind sacrificing a little service for it, so each customer has to decide whether it's worthwhile. I would say that it is because of the coupon codes and because eventually all your issues will be resolved (you will be refunded, your package will come, etc) but not always as quickly as you would like.
