I'm tempted by the suede one but worried about it getting dirty, alas!

Mine has not arrived yet, it will Monday. Did you see my question about it being slouchy at all?

I must have missed the question, my week at work was super busy and I am trying to catch up on my purseforum addiction. :D:p

I keep my Dakota pretty full. It doesnt really slouch. It is hangs like a flap bag, like the stewardess. It doesnt look stiff or structured at all though. The whipstiching is pretty heavy and would keep the bottom and sides from slouching. The top slouches a bit in a good "hobo" like way if that makes sense.

I live in michigan but decided to take a chance on the suede one because i love the style so much and the color looks awesome. I am going to scotchguard it.:smile1:

So just so I have this clear .... the rhyder black leather, *is* *different* than the dakotah black leather. I have the correct? I'm stopping at the boutique tomorrow to pick up a package, and I want to look at this new line. If this is correct, then I intend to pay close attention to this difference.
.

This is correct. The whiplash leather on Dakotah and Tatum bags are best. It's what they should've used on color block Workwear Rhyder 33 for example - similar but no, not quite.

Then, the leather on the regular Rhyder bags are WAY different 😟😦😧

I also LOVE this bag: style and color. I live in Oklahoma so I'm not sure if weather would be an issue with suede. But I've heard that the suede will rub off in areas leaving it slick??? I'm excited to hear your review.

SA at coach fp store told me that all the leathers used for coach bags are treated for durability and ease of use. She said this includes the nubuck and suede leathers.

I have several suede and nubuck bags and have never had them rub to the point of getting slick. I've seen this in vintage suede but I think it would take a lot of rubbing to get that way.
