I think so. I'm 5'2" and the large seems a little too big.

I am your height..I have both sizes and they both feel fine.

I don't carry a whole lot but I really like the way the bags "mold" to my side.

I love both sizes!

The red has red suede under flap and red lining. The blue has black leather under the flap and black lining with blue leather trim on the inside edges.

Thanks for all the kind comments. It really is a beautiful red. No orange undertones as some of the pictures might look. It appears Coach intends to make a lot of different bags in this color, which I think is great because I really love a true red (but probably not good for my wallet).
