Thanks everybody! (and wave again to PGN!) Jaleh said that she would be calling around to other LV stores in the country to see if she could find another Mandarin Jasmin...and it sounds like from you all that there are definitely other ones to be found (yay!)
The whole thing was just so bizarre from beginning to end, but it was really good to see the warranty honored and the efforts of Jaleh the Leather Goods mgr at the REAL Chevy Chase LV to try to find out what the heck was going on. At one point, she was actually sitting on the floor behind her counter, on the phone, and I'm wondering exactly what was exchanged at that point, because it was after that when she said "okay let's just get this Speedy returned and the cost back on your original credit card" and then had me fill out a contact form so she could let me know when she found another Jasmin.
I'll tell you this much, though...if she isn't able to get me another one, then that's when I'll be making sure that the LV mothership knows directly from me what happened and how they should just take away selling privileges from the SAKS Chevy Chase LV because I'm going to make it my personal quest to ensure that nobody I know ever shops there again. LOL
