After playing with bags last night, I think I am going to take back the Rhyder. It is just too big of a bag for me. I love the color and I wish I would have known so I could get the bronze messenger on the FOS. I just got rid of 2 of the small Rhyders because I had not used them in quite some time. It is like replacing 2 small ones with one big one, lol. I am trying desperately to only make purchases that full a niche, and make them based on "sale goggles." Plus my Nomad is coming and I don't want anything stealing her thunder.

LOL..I LOVE the title of your thread! And it's so true too. Sorry the Rhyder won't seem to work for you...the color is beautiful.
I finally went to my FP store to play with the fall bags. I don't think anything can steal Nomad's thunder; she is one gorgeous hunk of leather. I can't buy anything right now, but made my wish list for later on this year...it is loooooong.

This might sound silly, but hear me out: You might actually prefer the Rhyder 33 better. I know it is even larger, but it is designed different. I found the Rhyder satchel like you have unappealing because of the slouchy leather, it tends to sag in the center when items were in it. The 33 does not do that. It is slouchy, but in all the right places. Plus I find it looks good worn with the long strap and on the crook of the arm.

When I tell you I've had mine since end of July and have yet to move out of it, I am seriously in love with this bag. I usually switch weekly, and have yet to.

So after clearing out 90% of my bags and accessories (then buying a Nomad :graucho:) I got a phone call today from my local outlet informing me that I had some things on hold. I thought it odd seeing that I have only been in there once in the past month and I was trying to resist any urges. I said I didn't have anything on hold and the SA (who I know) said "Yes, yes you do." Which can only mean one thing: something exciting came in. I went in on my way home and lo and behold. Waiting for me was a Metallic Bronze 32 Rhyder and the newer Rhyder pebbled leather crossbody. They had a limited amount of the 32 Rhyders and the crossbody was an online order return earlier in the day. Both were 60% off, then I got an extra 20% off with my emailed outlet PCE. They were around $200 for the pair. Best of all you can fit a slim long wallet easily in the back zipper pocket of the crossbody!

Congrats on both! My outlet has been known to do the same thing:graucho:...sometimes I don't even know what I need:p!

Thank you for this! I didn't like that the satchel sagged in the middle.
