My sweet husband gifted me a new engagement ring for Valentine's Day this year. I'd told him for years that I'd like to upgrade my original 1 carat solitaire for a 2 carat by the time our 20th wedding anniversary rolled around; he came in over a year ahead of schedule. I will always have a sentimental attachment to my original stone, so there was no trading it in. I don't believe in letting things sit in my jewelry box, and I wanted to wear my original stone somehow on a regular basis. I already have 2 solitaire necklaces, and I'm always switching up jewelry on my right hand, so I wasn't sure what I could do. I worked with the same jeweler who created my new ring, and this bangle was the result. I just picked it up today and absolutely love it!

That is gorgeous! So unique!

I love your set and new bangle! Thank you for sharing! Congrats on 20th coming anniversary.

My mom has just got a new pendant made, using her original engagement diamond. She originally wanted a DBTY style, but the goldsmith who made the pendant cautioned us against that due to the size of the stone. He designed this bezel with a tube on top of it so that the stone will not flip when my mom wears it. It's a two tone piece, with the tube done in yellow gold to match the chain and the bezel itself being done in white gold. The bezel was also done so that the culet wouldn't poke when wearing the necklace. Here's some photos of that and the original engagement ring.

Diamond specs and necklace info: .50 ctw, E colour, VS1, excellent cut set in 14k white and yellow gold bezel, 16" chain. Ring is 18k white and yellow gold, pictured with .50 ctw equivalent forever brilliant moissanite (which is now mine and being worn on a daily basis :p).

Edit: sorry, don't know why the photos flipped!
