I have been looking through the Jewlery Box forum, and there have been many individual threads on pieces you lovely ladies have reset. I thought it would be a cool idea to put pics all into one thread. Just for us to ooh and aah over...as well as to give ideas to others who may want to reset a piece of jewelry they already own.
I hope everyone will share their pics and ideas.

Let me start off with a pair of diamond earrings my mother in law recently gave me. They were from her Mum. I actually just collected the reset pieces today and I love them much more than the original more vintage setting. This works well for me as well because I already own diamond studs. Studs before, and cushion halo drop earrings after.....

Pretty!

Here's my engagement ring reset. I reset my solitaire after I lost my wedding band. The reset has 18 pave diamonds that represent our anniversary (3/18/00).

Lovely! I love the new makeover of your earrings. I have to dig up pics for some of my reset.

You helped designing it or did your jeweler?

I worked very closely with my jeweler. I wanted the diamond set low. I love the look of bezels. I knew I wanted the band to be wide and brushed yellow gold. I also knew I wanted melee to be set in a pave style. I wanted the diamonds to be off center, but he and his wife talked me out of that.

So, the jeweler and his wife guided me through the process, and it was fun! The design and ideas were mine. But, I LOVE the way he translated my ideas into a piece of jewelry.

My sweet husband gifted me a new engagement ring for Valentine's Day this year. I'd told him for years that I'd like to upgrade my original 1 carat solitaire for a 2 carat by the time our 20th wedding anniversary rolled around; he came in over a year ahead of schedule. I will always have a sentimental attachment to my original stone, so there was no trading it in. I don't believe in letting things sit in my jewelry box, and I wanted to wear my original stone somehow on a regular basis. I already have 2 solitaire necklaces, and I'm always switching up jewelry on my right hand, so I wasn't sure what I could do. I worked with the same jeweler who created my new ring, and this bangle was the result. I just picked it up today and absolutely love it!
