Regretting selling a rare bag!

It is tough and you did well to continue with the sale. I have definitely had bag sell regret before. But the benefit of less guilt when I see it unused on my shelf, the "opportunity cost" of what I could use the funds for (even for a new bag I love even more!), and less pressure on myself for "oh why did I sell this rare thing that other people love" is worth it.

It's good you tried it again with your items inside to remind you of the practicality, that's a great idea! And writing it down here too or in a diary or something so you can revisit the list of reasons why you sold it in the first place, to remind yourself. Because our emotions can trip us up hey. No matter how beautiful a bag is, if we won't use it, we won't use it. Only you'll know for yourself.

Well done!

Alma bb is small but very strong because the way it’s constructed, and it can go from everyday bag to evening bag especially with how expensive now if to buy another designer bag to replace it, I wouldn’t sell “good bags” unless good enough profit .

I came very close to selling my vernis zippy wallet to Fashionphile because I wasn't using it. So I thought I'd sell it instead. But when they only offered me $100 for it, I clearly walked away. I thought that was a rip off. It was practically unused and brand new. After keeping it, I decided to use it, and now I use it everyday and I love it. Glad I didn't sell it.

If you're having second thoughts, I would be honest with the buyer and just refund her money and keep it. I never got over selling my 4 CHANEL bags years ago, and they were all one of a kind. Don't make the same mistake that I did. This was in the late 90's, and I still get upset thinking about it.

If I don’t use a bag and haven’t used a bag in a long time then it’s time for it to go to someone who will. In my head, I have this idea of a “perfect collection” however I don’t use these bags that I think will perfectly round out my collection. I have to ask myself, would I buy it again if it was lost/stolen and I got an insurance settlement to replace it?! If the answer is no, then it is time to sell. For me, these bags are too expensive to sit unused in my closet. Good luck deciding!

Don’t have sellers remorse… if you are not 100% sure you want to sell it then don’t. Issue a refund to the person who paid the deposit and apologise profusely. Explain that you have changed your mind.
I would agree with this except that she’s been collecting payments as part of a payment plan for some time. I don’t know how long that is, but it would be super wrong and shady to cancel the order after the last payment has been made, building the buyer’s anticipation with each installment. If she really does want to keep the bag, it would only be right to refund the whole amount plus 10% on top for the inconvenience and lost opportunity cost with that money. But the honorable thing to do is to let it go.

I honestly can’t believe anyone would ever sell to Fashionphile with the kinds of offers I’ve heard people being given. I’d literally rather give it away to someone for free.

That's funny, because I offered it to my daughter for free, and she didn't want it. She's not into designer bags or anything like that. I only went to Fashionphile because I'm used to selling on eBay myself, and have never sold to a place like that, so I thought I'd give it a shot. Glad I didn't go through with it. I love it now.
