What's the proper pronounciation for "H" in French?
My SA pronounced Rouge H--Rouge "AHSH"or something similar. Perhaps whoever knows the answer can have it added to the original post in the sticky.
Rouge ahsh is right. The "a" is pronounced with a schwa sound.

Thanks Hermesaddiction. I did say SEE-cla-mon one time in reference to a Bolide they had and a SA looked at me funny but maybe she didn't know how to pronounce it! Another H SA confessed that she's still learning how to pronouce the names of some of their products.
The scarf names can be tricky, too.

This is funny because one of the SAs I spoke with over the phone tried to correct me everytime. I would say "Seek-la-mon" for Cyclamen and she would correct me and said it's supposed to be "Sick-la-Man". I still call it seek-la-mon.

How do you pronounce MYSORE?? Is it how it looks? MY-SORE....that sounds terrible.........the goat WOULD be sore after being made into a bag!! It's one of my favourite leathers, so I suppose I should learn to say it correctly!........Anyone??

Do they really pronounce "souple" as soup-lay ? The regular pronunciation would be more like soup-luh , not much emphasis on the "luh", but who knows how Hermes might do it LOL Rachel ;)

Yes, it's soup'-leh -- with the 'leh' sound at the end almost as a whisper or very light breath.

GT, thanks for bringing that up! Now.. how do you pronounce it? Lol! Like "re-torn", "re-turn" or something else?

In the same vein, what about sellier? The second syllable, is it as we pronounce the 2nd syllable of Cartier?
