I think you should wear your ring as it is. Your partner bought it for you to wear and love. You can always add eternity rings later.

Unfortunately I cannot, my hand isn't suited for the ring he got me, it looks too snug when it fits correctly, so what was suggested is go up a half size and put a small band that's my correct size on top to hold it down. Otherwise it will fall off. We've unfortunately exchanged it 3 times. Obviously normal people would just swap the actual ring, but since he picked that specific design for me I want to make it work.

I have 2 thin diamond bands I wear on either side of my wedding band. One is a half eternity band and one is a full eternity. I MUCH prefer the full eternity band over the other. I feel like I'm always adjusting the other one so its face up. I plan to replace it with another full eternity band at some point.

If I were you, definitely be patient and go for the eternity band. IMO, I think you'll be happy you did in the long run.
Cheers and enjoy your Atlas!!

Thank you for your suggestion!

I have a 3/4 eternity ring for my wedding band. And it spins, a lot. And it drives me crazy. Just a thought before you invest in a half or 3 quarters eternity. :) Beautiful atlas ring! I can see why you're having a hard time with it though.

Did you look on James Allen? They have an eternity bandthat's .25 tcw...and as someone who has worn an eternity band for years...YES, full eternity...these bands are always moving around on your finger.

Another thing to keep in mind, when you buy the thinner bands, be sure they are a quarter or half size up from your size. You will not believe how different they fit when there are 3 stacked. I was upset because I couldn't get my bands in 5.25, only 5.5 (and 5.5 is WAY too big alone), but when I stack them with my wedding band, they are perfect...no way they could come off of my finger!

Good luck!

I wanted something a little more delicate to not overdo the other ring. The Tiffany metro band looked very nice and it was .17 so I didn't know if I should go up higher to .25 ?

Oh no I didn't think about that...... So the higher band should be a quarter/half size larger? The band that is closest to the direction of the nail?

I would get a size that actually fits you for the eternity band. That way you can wear it on its own.

Great thanks! If you don't mind I'm going to go stalk one of your wedding ring pictures to understand how the ring should fit in relation to the finger since I clearly failed with the other ring lol.

I'm not sure how different a .25 will look from a .17. Also, one of the SAs in fine jewelry at tiffany a said she'd be concerned wearing two metros (which is what I was going to buy) as they aren't that sturdy since they are so thin and not platinum...but maybe she just wanted to up sell me.

I don't know if you need a full 1/2 size larger but my wedding eternity band is a size 5 and my skinny eternities are both a half size larger. Maybe a 1/4 size bigger would have been enough. If they were also a size 5, the stack would feel way too tight for me.

With James Allen you can return within 30days and get a full refund. I would order two and see how you like them. Mine are gorgeous! So glad Ame mentioned JA to me.

Good luck!

Wait it's not platinum?! I was told two years ago that it was! Wow. Thank you for your input! I'm going to look at pictures and I'll email James Allen to ask about the size difference. I'm not going back to the jewelry store until my line bracelet has been sized so hopefully that'll give me enough time to decide.

Hello :) i am not sure if my suggestion is what you are looking for yet i hope it might give you any idea that might help :)
In my culture we use what is called wedding bands as e-ring\ wedding ring. Its one ring basically for all :)
Mine was this from tiffany and I absolutely love it. It comes in the full circle too but on my hand full isnt pretty.
It doesnt move around when i wear it so i am not constantly adjusting it and thats a great thing.
I think it goes beautiful with your ring in the pic :)

Hi, I love looking at all of your jewelry porn.....haha! I was in the same situation as you. I bought a Cartier love ring in Paris and my fingers were swollen when I tried it on, and I tried to exchange it when I came back home, only to find out cartier won't exchange stuff bought in another country. So I bought 3 small, thin diamond eternity bands all different shapes to stack with my love ring. I just bought them at my local jeweler fro around 1,000 each. (I wanted 4 because I have 4 kids) I get so many compliments on my stack when I wear it. I know etsy has some really cute diamond bands, I can give you a name if you want it. I would also take a pic of mine , but don't know how to upload on here.

Ok we really are on the same wave length when it comes to jewelry. This is one of my DREAM rings.... I've adored it for years-- and then when dear Einseine posted her alternating bracelet I was completely smitten. I hope to have this and a bangle style of this as well!!!!

I love the sentimental value! I would love to see it, maybe I can help you. Are you using a computer or are you viewing this forum on an app?
