So I was able to get a replacement! The new bag is much better, but the straps have some wrinkling. I figure I’d rather have the wrinkled strap than a cracked bag. It’s less noticeable and probably easier to repair.
So happy I tried for a replacement. Thank you for the advice! So happy with this new one.

It’s funny, when I went in to return the cracked one at the Rodeo Drive LV, 2-3 CAs swarmed it before the return even finished the processing. I guess this item is fairly rare and they wanted it for their clients! The flaws were imperceptible in the store lighting but I’m glad someone can enjoy it now!

I thought the CA should return the defective items ? That’s what my CA does.

Wrinkling on leather isn’t considered a defect. Underneath the glitter is cowhide leather. It will wrinkle regardless. Completely sellable.
We were talking about the first defective piece that Bryant received

Received the Glitter Mini Soft Trunk from the Mens SS22 collection.

There are some flaws. Hard to get in pictures, but the glitter lyer looks scrat or cracked in some parts. But I still think it’s a keeper!

I know. Wrinkled leather on the actual bag is not considered a defect either. It was in response as to why the other CA’s were circling him for the returned piece.
They could have been circling to take a closer look at the defect, a teachable quality control moment. It would make sense to return or destroy it.
 
I thought the CA should return the defective items ? That’s what my CA does.

It was an online order so an Ops person was handling it. She seemed ok letting the other CAs take it. She inspected it herself and I guess deemed it was sellable. I’m pretty picky so the cracked portion and scratched-like areas bothered me, but maybe it wasn’t bad enough to be unsellable. Either way, I’m glad I stuck it out for a bag I’m completely happy with thanks to your advice!

He mentioned the first piece that he received has some flaws, scratches or cracking at the glittering leather, not wrinkles. That’s why he was offer an exchange . I was commenting about why the SA in that store still sell the bag that he returned since it’s defective, my ‘defective’ is referring to the scratches/ cracking of the glittering leather .
