I have one WOC and will not buy another. It is very difficult to fit essentials in it....if you don't need to put glasses in it, that will help. It is great for CC, key and lip gloss... It needs about another 1/2 depth to be perfect

About the snap closure, it's not the best closure in the world,
...
chain hook the wallet rub agains the two ends of the leather parts, the wears are the most show, other than that I think woc is worth to purchase if you are fine to spend this amount of money on a better version "wallet".
...
don't forget woc is just a wallet with chain,

Good luck deciding.

Agree.

Yes along with maybe having a detachable chain.

I have same dilemma....Thanks to this thread. I really wanted WOC and got 2 WOCs, trendy cc & classic quilted caviar with gold, and just got 3rd WOC that was hard to find chevron caviar in red! But chain is little bit long for cross body, and noticed for the price of 2 WOCs, i could afford 1 actual BAG, Now thinking of sell 2 WOCs or all 3 and make fund towards another classic flap or mini....But those WOCs are so beautiful and all were really hard to find...if i let them go, not easy to find again, but then again same dilemma comes back that WOC are not actual bag....ummm decision decision... What you guys would do?!

Im having pretty much the same problem. I love the woc, especially the camellia one. However, it is a little too small for me, and the strap is hella long. Im 5 feet. It hits right at my butt, it looks so weird when i try it in the store. I love the woc to pieces, but im still hesitant to buy one mainly because of the long chain and small size. $2100 for the woc, mini square is $2900. I might just save extra $800 to go for the mini square..

I have a black caviar WOC with SHW and find it is my most used Chanel bag (much more so than my M/L classic flap) because it is so easy to grab and go, and I can use it on its own or it fits easily in my larger work bag as a wallet. Especially after having kids, it's great to have a hands-free cross body bag. I was having problems with the snap button popping open even with the bag not completely full, but I googled a few ways to tighten the snap (basically you can do this at home with pliers to carefully tighten the part of the button on the bag or use a hammer to gently flatten/enlarge the part of the button on the flap) and now it no longer pops open at all!

I have 6 WOCs, can you tell how much I  it, lol? Anything hands-free and small, I'm in for it! It's great for travel, vacation, or in crowded places.
I love the convenience and versatility of the WOC and it definitely helps that I'm a light packer. I'm 5.3 so the chain is longer than I would like it to be, but I don't mind, 'cause there's an easy way around it.
Never had any problems with the snap button become undone, but then again, I never overload my WOCs (or my Chanels for that matter) as I don't like the overstuffed, out of shape look.
Pros of the WOC are that it's so light weight and convenient, plus it's super versatile. Useful for day, or night. You can use the WOC as:
- a cross body (my preferred way of using it most of the time)
- a double chain shoulder bag
- a long single chain shoulder bag
- a short single chain shoulder bag
- a clutch
- a wristlet (very neat option)
- a wallet in my bigger bags (love this easy and convenient transition).

Cons are the length of the strap drop (but it can be shortened easily) and the capacity. Like I said, I'm a light packer, so I can fit all my essentials in the WOC just fine. On days/occasions that I need more of my stuff with me, I just use another bag.

That said, my favorite WOC of all times has got to be my black Half Moon WOC. Due to its shape and lack of structure I can stuff so much more in there than in my classic rectangular WOC, without it ever looking out of shape.

Mine too, is the half moon! (I think at one point I even wrote a thread called "ode to the half moon" lol).
To add to some of ironic568's points about its storage capacity, this model also has the chain connecting directly to the base of the bag (bottom part), so the top flap doesn't end up being rubbed or bow upwards like when it's looped through a leather tunnel like in the classic WOC's. Also, it has a magnetic button (larger) compared to the smaller snap button. Furthermore, it has ruched surfaces making it more expandable. Another benefit is that all panels of the bag are equally strong and reinforced - unlike the classic ones where the sides and bottom are made of much thinner material (and end up becoming flimsier over time) compared to the front and back panels. One con is that the magnetic button magnet is a little strong, so it makes me worry that it will cause stress on the leather behind the hardware. So I use a layer of matte magic tape as a barrier to "weaken" the magnet.

Sorry this is not helpful though, because the half moon is currently discontinued... I really hope they bring it back

I love the WOC and got a lot of use out of it, more than my mini. I prefer to travel with the WOC as its flat and I don't need to worry about crushing it in my luggage. I bring it along on my travels when I visit fancy restaurants and want a nice travelling bag.

I love my boy WOC with ghw. I am about 4'11 and the chain is too long for me, but I found a really easy way to shorten it with a clear locking loop fastener. It stays secure throughout the day/night and because it fits through the chain, I don't have to alter the chain/bag in any way. I don't tend carry around a lot of stuff so the WOC is perfect. I am always surprised at how much stuff can fit in it and how deep the passport pocket is. I usually carry a card holder (because I don't like to use the card slots), keys, chapstick, eye drops, and my iphone. If I ever feel like my WOC could get scratched, I just put my coat on over it and because it is a small bag, it doesn't even look like i'm carrying a purse half the time. Hope this helps!

The Chanel woc has been my go to purse since my first one. I'm 5'0 and I currently have 3 (black classic with ghw, black boy with gun metal/charcoal hardware, and black chevron with shw). Chanel also sales a clamp/clip that makes the strap shorter.

I did not know that Chanel sold a clamp. Can you tell me what exactly I should ask for? That way I don't sound like a fool. [emoji23] I am in need of two.

I would be interested too!
I was in paris last year asking about clasps to shorten the chain and the SA told me they don't have them and that they don't sell those.. I even showed them a pic and they asked other SA who worked there. All of them said they don't know what that is..
I finally settled on using locking loop fastener that has been working well.

Been researching a woc and the half moon seems to fit alot. Wish they still carried it. Anyone have experience with buying chanel on the real real. Read positives and negatives. Also can they still authenticate if the hologram is removed. thanks
