Hi ladies! I would appreciate some real feedback from those of you who own WOC's. I have always resisted this style because I am petite 5'2", and worried that the strap is too long. I also have heard that the snap closure isn't great - pops open, etc. But, that being said, I keep getting tempted by some really cute styles! Anyone regret purchasing? Any other petite ladies think the strap length is just fine? Anyone own a closure other than a snap closure and feels that it is worth the extra money (i.e. Golden Class, etc)? I would appreciate any "real" advice about what you love/hate/get annoyed about/makes you obsessed with your WOC? Thank you! Photo attached of a WOC I was so tempted by, passed on, and slightly regret...

I had one and I loved the length cross body (I am 5'4") and I actually like crossbody bags a little on the longer side.
I do not remember the snap being an issue. I didn't keep it just because it was way too small for my needs :(

I'm 5"3 and I have a woc. The strap length doesn't bother me. I love crossbody bags.
I do feel that I have to be extra careful when I'm using it as it's lambskin.

I have a press stud closure, it can be a bit hard to align from time to time. I wouldn't mind a clasp closure like the classic flap bags do. But I guess that may make the woc bulkier. Overall no regrets, it's my baby and I love it.

I returned my woc due to color issues. However, I loved the different compartments on the inside. There's no need for a cc holder, and keys can go in the zipper part, or coins. You don't need any extra pouches to take with you when using this bag. It's def more for a light day or evening bag.

I personally didn't like the button closure for mine. I would have preferred the clasp or turn lock like some of them have.

I am 5'1 and just sold my WOC (bought it in Aug 2016). I loved the idea of it but once I actually bought it, it wasn't practical for my needs. The chain length was just too long for me and didn't feel comfortable any way I wore it. Even though I'm not a pack rat and am pretty minimalist, it was still too small to be practical. My car key fob alone took up most of the interior space. My WOC was lambskin, very buttery soft and luxurious and absolutely gorgeous but I was constantly fretting over using it carelessly, so off she went to a new and loving home. I literally only used it once for 1 hour, so I was able to get full retail value on the sale [emoji4]

I just got my black caviar shw woc. Love it! I havent used my boy which i love so much too, my classic medium or my shw jumbo. I should have started with the woc first. Maybe it would have been my only chanel bag (seriously doubt it though ) no problem with snap closure so far. Im worried about that, ive read about lots of issues regarding that. Im 5 feet so i need to shorten it, crossing strap works but i worry coz the leatber inside get strained and it might popped stitches. Trying to find some other style to shorten it coz tying doesnt work for me. Hth

I am 153cm height, I wear my woc crossbody, it lays just below my hip, it doesn't bother me and the length doesn't seem out of my body portion at all, coincidently longer crossbody is current trend, that's even a plus. I have few different sizes classic flap and boy, but I reach woc the most when I don't need to take too many stuff with me, I can fit in my mini o case pouch, iphone6s,my Volkswagen key fob with a chain(I always leave my house keys in the car separately),1 lip products. Pretty much that's all I need, and if you want, you can squeeze one more lip product in then it will be fully packed.0

About the snap closure, it's not the best closure in the world, sometime I couldn't close
it properly when I did it in a hurry, but once it's closed, it closes completely(if not overloaded). Mine is caviar, the shape holds up very well, no obvious wear shows on the surface but wrinkles are around the expanding area. The only thing that bugs me a lot is where the chain hook the wallet rub agains the two ends of the leather parts, the wears are the most show, other than that I think woc is worth to purchase if you are fine to spend this amount of money on a better version "wallet".

Please don't forget woc is just a wallet with chain, I see many people complaint about it how useless it is, that's because they expect it to function as a small bag according to the price point. IMO that's not how it works with Chanel.

Good luck deciding.

I'm 5'5" and I absolutely love my WOC. It is so handy. It hits me perfectly against my body. Can not recommend it if you can not minimize what you carry. I fit my iPhone 6, cards (obviously), 6 key ring from LV, and hand sanitizer. I'm fine with carrying just that. Whenever I open or close mine I'm sure to pull/push from the button. No hassle and no leather pulling.

I'm 5'5" and I have 3 WOCs (the 4th one is on its way!). I got my first WOC almost 7 years ago and I actually used it as a travel bag (airport, site seeing). I used to carry A LOT of stuff with me (long wallet, coin purse, cosmetic bag, and a lot of other junk) so the WOC was definitely too small as my every day bag. Honestly, I did regret buying it (for a period of time) as I rarely used it. Fast forward to 5 years later, my DD was born and the WOC became one of my favorite every day bags! I love it so much that I bought 3 more! I've became a minimalist (all I carry now is credit cards, very little to no cash, car key fob, lip balm, and iPhone 6+) and the WOC is all I need. The snap closure doesn't bother me much and I don't have any problems with getting my cards in and out. However, I've noticed that one side of the flap sticks out more than the other and the reason? I always open my bag from the same side so it caused that side sticks out more (oops lol!). I would definitely recommend of getting it in caviar if you're planning to use it (almost) every day. I have two lambskin WOCs and the corners are scuffed badly; even though I'm very careful with my bags. [emoji20] My caviar WOC is indestructible LOL! [emoji38]

I have a patent classic woc and a lambskin trendy cc woc (with working turn lock). I love them both. The trendy cc can fit a tiny bit more but should be expected since it also doesn't have back pocket and the inner pocket (for love letters...) doesn't go all the way down like the classic. ..which I use to put a small pack of blotting papers (in classic). No problems with the pop button yet on the classic. When I stuffed the classic woc I put sunglasses with soft cover, cards in card slots, phone, keys, mini lipstick or other lip product. It takes some organizing but all that fits in there. I wear the wocs different ways. I like them for their versatility and I didn't get them in black got them in lighter colors and still enjoy them. Hope this helped. I think if you criss cross the straps inside the classic it will be perfect size for you. I do that to make a longer shoulder bag (I'm almost 5'5 for reference)

I sold my 10C bleu roi lambskin WOC years ago because I just couldn't fit everything I needed to carry during the day. And, I dislike the fact that the chain is a tad too long for my 5'3" frame - it keeps hitting the back of my butt as I walk, which is super annoying (and I have a long torso!). If you double up the chain by looping it once under the flap it's too short for cross body and doesn't look that great on your shoulder? The lambskin held up really well though and I used it for everything (day, night, perfect for clubbing!).

Fast forward to 2016 and I kept seeing TPFers' gorgeous fuchsia camellia WOCs.... strolled into my local boutique to check it out... they didn't have the camellia but they did have the purple patent from one or two seasons ago (?) which I just had to have. I have a tendency to buy WOCs in lovely bright colors that I can't get my hands on in larger bags lol! :graucho:

Anyway, I really needed a cross-body bag for a hands-free event the next day so I bought one again. This time around I can fit more of what I need during the day (phone, tissues, blotting papers, lip balm, makeup compact, eyeliner) - maybe because I stopped smoking and needing to carry cigarettes around..... :p:blush:

I've only used it once and thankfully no color transfer on the patent but I'm a little paranoid - I wear a lot of jeans and the back of the WOC rubs constantly against my jeans. Fingers crossed.

To cut a long story short, sometimes if you want a high-end cross-body bag in a pretty color you just gotta sacrifice a little annoyance e.g. the slightly too long chain and minimal space :lol:

The Chanel woc has been my go to purse since my first one. I'm 5'0 and I currently have 3 (black classic with ghw, black boy with gun metal/charcoal hardware, and black chevron with shw). Chanel also sales a clamp/clip that makes the strap shorter.

I have a black caviar WOC with GHW and I love it. I find that the strap is fine crossbody on my 5'2" frame. I find it a little too long on me when I wear it on one shoulder, I solve this by criss-crossing the chain strap under the flap and securing it with a ribbon so it doesn't keep undoing everytime the bag is opened. For more formal occasions, I like to double up the straps to wear on my shoulder. There are a couple of ways to wrap the strap around the bag to shorten it.

I've never had the snap button "pop open" on me, however I am mindful not to overstuff the bag. Having said that, the WOC holds all my necessities plus more. I find a lot of people forget that the WOC can definitely be used as a wallet i.e. by utilising the credit card slots and coin compartment. When I see YouTube reviews of people who say that their WOC is too small, I notice quite often it's because they are using a card wallet or small coin purse inside.

I can fit my credit cards, coins, cash, small pack of tissues, hand sanitiser, lip balm, LV 6 key holder, listerine strips (or a very small mint case), headphones, a pen and if I'm really good at arranging my WOC that day, then my sunnies can fit on top. Obviously, it is a small "bag" so you will have to be realistic with what can fit.

I also love the durability of the caviar leather, mine still looks in excellent condition. I don't use it as an everyday bag, but it is my go to evening or going out bag.

Hope this helps.
