Just got the Soft Ricky Zip 40 in gorgeous perfect shade of red..it's a beauty and I love. Problem is the weight because in addition to the sheer size, the leather, although soft as butter is rather thick. Having second thoughts right now...a dilemma for sure because having gotten it from Ralph Lauren website for a great price...$1,369 down from the regular retail of $3,500, I don't think I'll come by a sale as great as this one again. Even harder is this bag is so well made and reflects the 8 hours RL claims it takes to make one. Phenomenal workmanship! For these reasons, I may decide to keep it and "suffer" 😩
I also need to stop comparing it to my Bal City, which is quite light and a joy to carry.
I wouldn't mind anybody weighing in please as I am still on the fence on this....got the bag yesterday and if I decided to return it, I'd like to do it very soon.

If you are already worried, take it back! It will only get heavier once you start adding stuff in too...you'll then think about using the bag every time you leave the house but in the end will bypass it for something less heavy....it's not a bargain unless it's EXACTLY the right bag for, jmho.
