Today I went to Macy's to look at Hamilton Chain leather satchel. When I tried it on wearing the long strap the shorter handles would stick out which makes it look not good. Is it suppose to be like this? How can I prevent the shorter straps from sticking out like that?
I don't know -- mine fall flat against the bag. Maybe that one is stiff, you can just work them in, the leather will soften.
n/s is bigger than then the e/w.What is the difference between the N/S and E/W ?
How does the shape of the bag (e/w satchel) hold up?
I was reading reviews on Macy's and a few people say that once you put your items in, wallet, phone, etc, it doesn't hold it's shape, and will slouch to one side when holding it.
My first designer bag was a Marc by Marc Jacobs Totally Turnlock Lil Shifty bag that lost it's shape after a few months use, which I know is what leather does as it wears in, but it ruined the look of the bag for me, and as a result I am after a new bag.... I want to buy a Hamilton, but I don't want the same loss of shape as I had with my MxMJ!
Does anyone have tips for keeping the leather structure? I also worry that as the strap isn't detachable, the constant weight will make the sides slouch.... has this happened to you?
Sorry, I'm a little panicky over bags losing shape!!! (even though I know some prefer look).
