questions about waitlist for new birkin arrivals

Just for the record, I placed an order for a 35 cm gold togo birkin in February. Picked it up yesterday. I was prepared, but I had been thinking I had at least 15 months to wait.

Prepare for July is brilliant advice.

Congrats on the raisin birkin. Such a gorgeous bag/color combo...

I just got my first Birkin (raisin) last week and it was soooo worth it so I hope you're the same and that yes... it will truly be what you want. Mine is still sleeping beside my bed. I just can't stop looking at her!!!

I think you'll love Togo. I have my Togo Kelly sitting next to Ms. R and everytime I pass her I admire the beauty of Togo. When the sunlight hits that Togo, it is truly breathtaking!!!

I've read in previous posts that there are no more wait lists for birkins but in checking with the Madison Avenue store in NYC, they informed me that (1) there still is one and (2) they are no longer taking names and therefore it would be "highly unlikely" that I would get one at this point. I am looking for a black birkin 35 togo with paladium hardware. Has anyone else encountered this type of situation? Any suggestions?
