questions about waitlist for new birkin arrivals

Hello everyone! I'm really new here,so please forgive me if these are stupid questions! Last week I told my new SA (after I purchased another Hermes bag) that I was really interested in a raisin birkin and she told me that she could put in a special order for me. However, today she phoned to tell me that the store was due to receive a 35 raisin birkin for the A/W shipment, that it wasn't reserved for anyone else, and so she put my name on it. Does that mean that it truly will be mine when it comes in? She said that it probably would arrive in July---is that usually the case? I'm so excited! I didn't imagine that it could happen so fast!

lucky girl! that is how it has worked for me with all my other H products. i have not been able to do that with a birkin, but if that's what you SA said then it should be yours!

Congrats! Yes, the Birkin's yours. However, wait time varies so much, even if they give you a date. It's possible you will get it in July, but it's also just as likely it could be later...or earlier. But it's well worth the wait!

Yes, it's a done deal. It's reserved for you now. It can arrive any time between Jul and Dec. By telling you Jul, you can prepare yourself financially for it.

Sometimes, though, deliveries can be delayed, and this may spill over to the next season. But from the past seasons, Hermes has been able to fulfill their deliveries on time.
