Wellman leather wipes - using for a couple of years. Recommended to friends. Yes I also use on car leather seats, leather shoes, Chanel/Hermes bags (even lambskin ones but it depends on leather color).
It works and definitely way better than a wet towel.

I'm sorry to hear that you've been struggling with OCD. I would really caution against using either a wet paper towel or baby wipes on your bags. Water can cause the leather to dry out over time and the surface of the paper towel / wipe can damage the leather. Also, moisture is terrible for leather and can cause mold, which cannot be repaired. Only the Chanel microfiber mitt should be used to gently wipe down bags and the leather chains every so often to get rid of the dust and to reinvigorate the leather.

Hey guys , I also suffer from ocd and have just bought a preloved bag. Any suggestion for a first clean that safe but more sanitizing in nature? Just realized this is a Chanel post but my bag is a LV Pallas MM with coated canvas and black leather sided and handles. Thanks !

Chanced upon this thread and just wanted to share that I have been wiping my chanel mini lambskin after every use since 2017 and my bag is still in perfect condition. I wet a soft microfibre cloth and wring out as much water as possible so that it's only very slightly damp. I always air dry my bag for awhile before putting it back into its dustbag.

I wonder if leaving the bag untouched for a couple of days will do the job as well? Think I heard viruses can only survive on a surface for a certain number of days depending on humidity, type of surface material etc..

Granted, if there are stains / residues that need to be cleaned, those need to be treated first so it doesn't harden.
