Do you mean the hardware is dull? I was thinking about getting the top handle in the Gucci pattern....although I am having a hard time deciding between the top handle or shoulder bag in the same style....

How sparkly would you say the bee is? I feel like in some pictures the red gems look super sparkly and in others they look really dull. Don't live close enough to a Gucci to check it out in person anytime soon! The keychain is super cute and I'm also eyeing the mini bag on a chain.
The red stones are super sparkly. But overall, it’s not in your face because of the gold (dull).
I have the Queen Margaret bee belt and I love it! I don't think it's sparkly 'in your face' but I like that as it's noticeable but stil 'll subtle/classy.
I just got the shoulder bag at the San Francisco boutique. They had to order it in for me, and they were lovely to work with.
I'm absolutely thrilled with this bag!!! Because it's a mix of canvas and leather, it's quite lightweight. The three compartments (plus inside zip pocket) make it really easy to organize my stuff. I'm considering having a few more holes added... at 22", it hangs kind of low on my hip when carried as a shoulder bag. On the other hand, it works perfectly as a cross body, so I may just carry it that way. (For reference, I'm 5' tall.)
The bee is dull gold, as others have said, the pearls have a luster, rather than a shine, but the red stones have a nice sparkle.
One caveat: it took me a few hours to get used to the clasp. You have to push a little thingie on the bottom of the bee to release the clasp... it isn't difficult, but you have to get your finger exactly on the spot. Then when you want to close it, you have to get the bee centered exactly right and push in. It's not a problem, and it definitely wasn't a deal-breaker for me, but it took a bit of trial & error.

I carried it to the Symphony today. Usually nobody notices handbags, since I don't live in a big city. But I was surprised... I got several compliments!
