Problem w/a pearl bracelet

the quality i would say looks to be average. it looks like costume jewelry, and most jewelers don't sell costume, so i just don't know what to say. maybe take it to a local jeweler and ask them for their opinion if it can be fixed, i'd say not. if i were you, i'd just wear it as is, the holes where the peeling is won't show, and it was a nice gift from your aunt.

the only issue is if she was sold what she thought was white gold, and it's not. there is a big price difference between silver and gold. that would be my only worry.

Are you sure those are pearls? It looks more like coral to me.

That's what I was going to say, they don't look like pearls to me at all, just beads.

To the OP, I agree with alliemia, as long as your aunt wasn't misled by the jeweler into thinking the metal was white gold instead of silver or base metal, then you're fine and I would just enjoy the pretty bracelet. :smile1:

I'm bumping this thread:

My aunt did bring the bracelet back to the jeweller and he said that I spilled something on it (either parfume or water) so it started peeling. I RARELY use parfume and I am aware that you don't have to spill anything on pearls. Also, I wear my jewellery when I'm ready (dressed, etc) so I really don't remember spilling water on it: I used it twice!!! I'm anal about this: I don't even wear my e-ring when I wash my hands! So it seems that they are indeed real pearls?!

^I just noticed it. I am uploading them again.
