I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

A little off topic but it was only recently I learned that in the original nursery rhyme Humpty Dumpty was never supposed to be an egg. It was Lewis Carroll in Through the Looking Glass who depicted Humpty Dumpty as an egg-man almost 100 years after the rhyme was written. He has been portrayed as an egg ever since.

That is the enduring power of pop culture. Let’s hope Harry and Meghan never have that kind of long influence.

This sounds like an April fool’s joke. H has no reputation for style. Dior’s most recent Men’s Wear Global Brand Ambassador announced in January 2023 is Jimmin, a member of Korean Boy Band, BTS. Their recent brand ambassadors tend to be young, good looking stars in the entertainment world so I don’t see an aging, talentless slob like Harry being tapped to be a Dior brand ambassador. Although if H did get a job as a Dior brand ambassador, the sheer volume of breaking of dishes in Montecito might trigger a mini earthquake since TW has been desperately trying to land a gig as a major label’s brand ambassador for years
