I have been wanting to post this for a while now. After hearing his nephew blathering on about being trapped etc in royal life, I look at how the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, Edward and Sophie have grown, relaxed, thrived. There have been blunders along the way, but they both picked up the baton of service handed to them and kept putting one foot in front of the other. No matter how one feels about the role of the monarchy in the here and now, you cannot say they look trapped or miserable.
